Isn't that a Ritual Power per p. 39 of RoP:M? I haven't seen that you bought any Ritual Powers. It seems odd to be able to bypass a Ritual Power with a MuCo 5 power.

Despite the name its a different, and poorly written in my mind, power from RoP: Magic. It doesn't grant a virtue.

I used MC to generate it; starting with a basic cat, and picking the magic animal option. I'll check the stats again.

I'm also fearful of having so many powers, given your feedback to others, but not sure what to buy with the qualities as I'm new to doing beasts this way.

For V&Fs

  • the Keen vision and magic animal are at 0 in the template. Do they come at 0 or 1?
  • And the Greater power should not be in that section.

For Quals

  • I'll check and repost.

For the Grant Puissance: the tool ads it as a lesser power, not a ritual one. I assumed that was correct.
If QPaC is right it, sounds like an ability the creature has on itself and not to another, which makes more sense.

You don't have to have a cat that's identical to the basic cat. Your cat may vary a bit if you like. That's just the average cat. Yours may be different.

I try and keep reminding myself that this is a high-powered saga and should have some pretty darn good familiars.

There are no free Virtues. You need to balance them all out.

Also, if Greater Power is not there, then you need 3 more Qualities to get to 150, which brings you up to 26 vs 19.

Also, you know that once your familiar turns incorporeal, he's stuck that way until sunset or sunrise, right? It's duration Sun.

I'm not sure where MC gets that. I can't see a virtue like that in RoP:M.

Grant Puissance is in RoP:M, and it's not a Ritual Power; thankfully the pdfs are searchable. It may not grant the Virtue, but it has the same mechanical effect. Obviously paid for with a modified R,D,T as a normal spell effect.

23 is correct.
Creature's base Might is 19, and remember that increasing the Might score via Qualities or Inferiorities does not alter the base points available to spend, reducing does. Likewise if a character has might 19 and buys extra 1 Might, they spend 1 point of their 19 Quality points to get a might score of 20, but still only track against 19 as their base.

So my familiar has 19 points to spend, then drops -4 points into Reduced might, which grants 4 extra points to spend. 19+4 = 23.

    E.g. The fire around Flambeau moves, he stands in place. Akin to the Harry Potter portraits, stylised for medieval art. The symbol of Tytalus slowly turns clockwise and counter clockwise, the Bjornaer symbol morphs between cone, circle, triangle. Etc.

I must be missing something on this one. You say it's open for 12 magnitudes (I assume 6 vis), with 10 used (5 vis). But the effect level is 60, which is 12 magnitudes (6 vis). That should fill it up.
Also, if it's a greater enchanted device (which it sounds like it is, given talk of opening), then it should cost more. Actual cost is 6 vis to open, and 6 vis to instill the power, which is 12. Multiplied by 3, that's 36.
Of course, I'm assuming, since it uses all of the invested vis that it's a lesser enchanted item and rightly costs 18 vis (6x3).

That's a handy little thing to have around.

Where is that written up?
This says that it's opened for 12 magnitudes (I assume 6 vis), and has a level 50 effect in it (5 vis). If this is a lesser enchanted device, you have the cost right. But if this is a greater enchanted device, it should cost more.

Where is that described? I want to make sure we're on the same page as to what it does.

I've added descriptions to the effects which were missing and fixed the items as lesser devices. The purpose of the tapestry is to be cool, perhaps I could install it as a lab feature. Not sure.
There are a few more coming too.

I've updated Constantine's advancement through Cycle 6, the Arts, and his spells (here).
Working on a consolidated updated character sheet now, which will include the familiar advancement too which is thankfully far less stressful. Planning to have that all that done in the next day or so.
Work has been hell as i got what i asked for. :confused:

Quick update; after doing a full review I've found things that are not technically wrong but a little odd, so re-jigging the spells I chose downward a little.
Purchased devices are done (I added an Orb), no chance to ageing rolls, arts are unlikely to change, maybe a very small change in skills; spells list will be tweaked but not fundamentally change; so I'll post where I'm at later tonight.
