I think I was clear that this was going to be a combat oriented mission, if she's going to do everything she can to stay out of combat, including zipping back to Mons Electi when it gets harry, that's fine. It's a reasonable response to danger. If you want to play that way, that's cool. And if they would never come up, then why have armor constructed, and spells cast on/by you?

In all seriousness, you absolutely do not need attack, defense, and initiative scores for punches and kicks for magi whose combat actions will be strictly limited to spellcasting and dodging.

Actually, this is slightly misleading:
The first spell needs to penetrate the grogs MR, if any
The second spell doesn't need to penetrate Alexei's MR, we agree on that

BUT both spell need to penetrate the MR of something struck, since both alexei and the grogs would be under an active magical effect. Depending on what you want, this may not be desirable, especially when facing magical creatures (But it may still be, especially for a shield grog, whose main role is taking wounds)
So Alexei-giant striking, say, a dragon will be resisted, just as a peeble of stone mutoed into a boulder would be.
