1230 Spring:
Activity: Install Lesser Expansion into Free Virtue Spot
Other than the brief excursion into the magic realm, Bartomeus spends the bulk of his time in the spring of 1230 in his lab. It appears from the way he enlists various hard working grogs, that he is likely doing something of a lesser expansion to the lab. The observant notice a small increase in the verticality of a portion of the dedicated building that houses Bartomeus's lab, as if the roof is being raised to provide additional head room in the lab. Bartomeus makes no secret of what he's doing, sharing in conversations over meals that he is working to improve the lab to facilitate his experimental work and the overall quality of the lab.
(Season Activity: install Lesser Expansion into the Free Virtue Spot for this lab. +1 General Quality, +2 Upkeep, Specialization: Experimentation.)
A few weeks into the season, Bartomeus offers each of his sodales a draft copy of a covenant charter explaining that he wrote this out from his former covenant's charter which was based on the well known Arae Flaviae covenant charter that often receives quick if not automatic ratification by the Quaesitors. "It's a starting point. What changes do you think we should make? Bear in mind that anything we change may spark questions form the Quaesitors."
(Note: I'm happy to put up the text of the standard charter from p. 126 in Covenants. Perhaps we could iterate in a forum thread about it to get to some decision on what to adopt and start that process in game.)
Bartomeus is generally gregarious and chatty, willing to talk with any of his sodales or the covenants people, companion and grog alike. He seems forever curious about people, their work, and especially their ideas for innovation and the development of new ways of thinking or doing things.
