6b Back at Home

I just reread this, I understand your idea much better now. Yes, fantastic suggestion!

Ameline tries to see the Father frequently, not just sunday but when he is at the covenant as well since she relies on him for guidance on some of the lessons for thei children and to share her own prayers and doubts. Not doubts about God, her belief is unshakeable and she knows of his love but about her worthiness of that love and that she is doing what is right.

If he wants to see her, she makes the time to see him as soon as the request comes in.

Kaloforo, looks out for the Ameline, which is when she is teaching parables. he shows her some sketches, and askes her, in latin "So my pious sister, would you like to arrange a meeting with the good Father who guides our souls?"
Nodding to her, he talks about his project for a statue group to be possibly placed in the chapel.

[color=blue]I meant Antonio, sorry :blush:

Decimus has pondered for quite a while. [color=red]Personally I would prefer the title flamen but otherwise the system seems as a wise one. I would support such a system for ruling. I don’t think that we should impose a minimum time before allowing soldaes to rise in rank. The magi can make such a judgement without a law.

Ameline did not wait to arrange a meeting. When the good father sought her out for a meeting, she arranged to free her time immediately that she was likely with the father when he sought Kaloforo for an audience. The discussion of a statue group can wait until after she hears the father out.

That happens in fact to be exactly what the Father wants to talk to each of you about. He heard Kaloforo was an artist, and he knows Ameline is a magus from a strange mystery cult with a holy focus (he is more accustomed to vanilla magi :smiley: ). He was wondering if he could the two of you to collaberate on a project to help beautify and improve the chaple at the castle and the church down in the village.

[color=red]Harmony is a great blessing.

Ameline considers carefully, [color=red]"I do not have much skill in the way of crafts to repair or improve the church and chapel in that way but I do have ability to encourage plant growth around the church that we could have a fairly nice flower garden and perhaps some climbing roses if a trellis were installed for them to cling to. Someone with an artistic eye could help in that as the core of my training has been that of healer and ministering to the sick and injured."

She considers, [color=red]"Still, if we can convince the covenant to spare the resources, I could perhaps enchant an object that is made to calm the minds of those entering the church so that they can focus more clearly on their intent unclouded by excitement, fears and passions." She will have to think hard on exactly how to do it and whether she will need to improve her arts for that goal. [color=red]"Again, if the covenant resources can spare it, I could imbue certain items with a blessing of healing that will assist folks suffering from wound and disease though within limits." A creo corpus enchantment is well within her abilities though she would need to add intellego to limit how often someone could benefit from it to avoid warping.

[color=red]That would be wonderful! And you Kaloforo? What ideas do you have?

Viola listens to the debate over the new membership system, eyes gradually glazing over, though she does take care to wrinkle her nose ostentatiously at the mention of "abuse". Finally, she remarks, "Such...rules. Simple, yes?"

Scott

Antonio replies
"Yes, simple and straightforward. I think that is the best way to both expand and maintain control."

Viola wrinkles her nose again, almost glaring. "No...simple."

She then starts a bit, as if suddenly remembering something. "Vis? Members? New? Enough?"

Scott

[color=red]Plenty :smiley:

Mastro Kaloforo is thoughtful, then he speaks "I have a couple of ideas. First of all I'd have to see the church. Then there could be some statue of Christ in cross to remember the man of His sacrifice, so they are more inclined to remember what He did, which would be a good way to inspire in men holy thoughts . Then I'd see what would be the effect of having a black madonna, so that the people who approaches her are awed by the fact she is the mother of God. I have to see what kind of drawing can be placed in the chapel. That could be a start. To what saint is the chapel or church dedicated?
He turns to the old priest with a smile in his face. He then presents him some sketches, made on previous days, taken from a booklet of six or seven pages of vellum, kept together by some shutters closed by a small key.
Mastro Kaloforo says"Please, have a look at my sketches and let me know what you think about them,"
This said, he nods and takes a composed seat, waiting for an answer.

At the same time he wonders if the work for embellishment of the chapel might be considered work for the covenant.

[color=red]Saint James :slight_smile:

[color=red]Interesting. May I show your sketches around to see what others think?

Kaloforo nods graciously, saying in Latin" My good lord, really the grace of God shines upon you. Please, do as you wish, and let me know. Thy know I need to take several sketches for the ideas, hence it will take some times."
after taking a break, he resumes by counting the number of statues. " one statue of St. James natural dimensions, one of to be placed in a chapel, a bust. And finally a black madonna, small size, for a chapel."
He thinks then he suggests it will take some three years for the main statue and an year for the each small statue. If Ameline is there ( or in case she is not there, he looks for them) and suggest her to work in cooperative fashion, such as: a person is calmed by the garden of flowers and then is awed by the presence of the statue.

Ameline will respond to any suggestions when they are actually said and phrased. She has knelt to pray a moment to god and offer respect to St. James who guided her here.

Kaloforo waits respectfully until all the prayers have been said then suggests to Ameline; "My good nun, methink we could be doing a good service here. A person is calmed by the garden of flowers and then is awed by the presence of the statue. This could be a great work for the sake of God". We are in the same room with Father Clement Gonzalos, as far as I understood.

[color=red]"There are many things that we should do for God's grace and we must consider location. A few plants perhaps tended coudl thrive in this chapel but it is not outside. To make pleace beautiful is good. The goal though is not to awe them and make them appreciate our artistry but to add something to see the awe and glory of God. To focus their mine on prayer, to feel god's love that their faith grows. The church is another matter entirely as it has the the outside that should make it look beautiful and areas that should show the Lord's wrath and his love. The joys of faith and warn of his might. Ways to perhaps calm them when they sit for confession and focus them during mass." Amelie has much that she thinks. [color=red]]"I am not a gardener but I think I can come up with something to help make a garden grow well if it is planted."
