Makes a fire advance at a very specific rate determined at the time of casting, in terms of how quickly it consumes its fuel and/or it advances its front. An Int+Finesse roll determines the precision achieved in terms of relative error: 3+ 50%, 6+ 10%, 9+ 5%, 12+ 2%, 15+ less than 1%.
This spell is a favourite of a young Flambeau maga to set up precisely timed effects, usually of a destructive nature, that are held suspended with a D:Ring ReVi spell (the same that maintains Concentration on the Hourglass). The ring is traced with slowly combustible material, and the trace is extended into what the maga calls a "fuse", that she lights immediately before casting this spell. As soon as the flame reaches the ring and breaks it, the effect(s) held by it are released.
