The entity gestures and the three drops disappear from the floor, and those who can see them notice the other ghosts recoil in horror. "The bond is sealed, you are under my protection now, and will have safe passage this night." The specter then melts into the floor, leaving no trace behind, and the other two, largely unseen, follow behind him as if on an invisible leash.
Acutus looks at his trident, and then turns to Roberto and shrugs, "Well, that worked, but it was definitely less entertaining than my plan."
Does anyone (besides Fleur who can investigate on another day) wish to pursue this further, or should we just get back to the party and points awards?
Vibria looks at Fleur, at Roberto, at the spot where the spirit she could see was, at where those who could see the other ghosts were looking, and the wall where people said they could see the words writ in blood.
[color=red]"Anybody know just what happened here? Or whether it will happen again? And is it a threat to us?"
The young are always eager for battle. Those who have seen the horror of violence again and again seek to avoid it when possible, but understand that it is an invaluable tool.

[color=red]"Anybody know just what happened here? Or whether it will happen again? And is it a threat to us?"
The place is haunted, it will probably happen again every year, and yes it is likely a threat to us if left unchecked.

Does anyone (besides Fleur who can investigate on another day) wish to pursue this further, or should we just get back to the party and points awards?
Roberto would like to investigate further, but he is not equipped with the proper spells to do so. He may suggest we need to get Solomon or Arachne to do some digging. Maybe both of them.
As far as the story goes, it is all up to you. I am impressed enough that I am willing to hand over all haunted sanctum story hooks to you for the future
Fleur looks around "Do we think it is safe to let it drop tonight, do some research and deal with it next year?" She is looking primarily at Arachne, though the bit about binding makes her want to make sure Roberto is comfortable with that idea.
(Vibria will try a Magic Lore roll: Int 1 + Magic Lore 4 + die roll of 9 = 14. Regardless, I'm assuming that my assumptions are correct.)
[color=red]"I think it should be safe for us to deal with it next All Hallows' Eve. Although I would like to at least keep abreast of what's going on, if not actively help."
The only people who should have any cause for concern before next All Hallow's Eve are Fleur (since she lives here) and Roberto, since he has apparently bound himself to the spirit in some fashion as yet undetermined. Fleur doesn't want to further involve her guests in the problem unless they are actually wanting to investigate (for example, if Arachne might want to try and claim some spirits for the covenant's defenses, or just be curious about them)
I did what now?
What, did you think giving your blood to a spirit like that was just about a bodily fluid?
sort of
um, well, uh...
Call the Ghostbusters?
Roberto will certainly consult with Arachne and Solomon, even if he does not yet understand what he just did. This may be inspiration to expand his knowledge of the Art of Mentem. And Perdo
This is why stab them with a trident is always the best option 8)
okay. you have a point. several points maybe.
dagnabbit...
okay. you have a point. several points maybe.
Three, I believe

The entity looks back at Actus, and interestingly so do the spirits which only Arachne and Selim can see. It intones in a hollow ringing voice, "You walk my halls at Hallowstide, a price in blood must be paid before you leave!"
Arachné squints, and raises her hand a little, ready to incant, yet does nothing, for the moment.

Interesting, says the old sorceress.
She then proceeds to describe what happened.
To Roberto:
Whatever you did, it sure had an effect, not only on this ghost, but on the other two. If I had to guess, I'd say they did the same choice as you. Or maybe you renewed their bindings.
Yet, there's more to it than that, for this spirit seemed, not only at least potentially hostlie, but also to consider this place to be his. I wonder if the two ghosts are previous victims of this apparition. I'd worry if I were you, though, for this specter now has an Arcane Connection to you.

Fleur looks around "Do we think it is safe to let it drop tonight, do some research and deal with it next year?" She is looking primarily at Arachne, though the bit about binding makes her want to make sure Roberto is comfortable with that idea.
It would sure seems so.
You had no trouble before, and Roberto appears to have fulfilled some contract.
Yet, I think we should investigate what happened. We can't have an unknown threat rising every year.
(Great story, silveroak!)
If I assign points and confidence I'm going to say 6 points, confidence to follow (please confirm that I do assign these)
Might I suggest that these 6xp are on top of whatever else we are doing? Roberto had this season marked for practicing Spell Mastery.
As for allotting these six, I am putting 2 in Artes Liberales, 2 in Magic Lore, and 2 in Leadership. Kosher?
You are the primary GM, but if I might suggest, practice of spell mastery gives you 4 xp per season as I understand it, while adventure experience can include "background tasks" which to me would include something else you were working on that season, such as practicing spell mastery, which would allow you to put in 5 points instead.
Aside from that, your current allotment of points also works.

Note that I am uncertain as to who are grogs versus Companions, so I may have assigned some confidence points to Grogs. Also so confidence for roleplaying may have been earned in the early evening by people who may not have stuck around to participate in the main challenge. It still added to the fun, and to me that still translates to confidence points.
I should have had Lucas stay at the party. 6 xp and at least one Confidence point for an evening's work is nothing to sneeze at.
