An spell to practice Finesse

In Against the Dark, pg 61, describes a magic item

arcane eggs with slippery surfaces covered in runes that writhe and change ( Controlling the twisting runes demonstrates Finesse).

So a magic item could be made to practice Finesse rather than making sand castles or lots of wooden chairs.

I see this as being basically the same as the original post idea. A spell or effect designed to practice Finesse with. My example was CrIm, which won't be doing actual harm [strike]too often[/strike] ever.

I don't think you need to have a specific spell to practice finesse. If a player isn't trying to monetize thr proces I'm fine with saying, you practiced finesse and award the 4 or perhaps 5 xp and be done with it

Yup, I tend to agree. The spell is superfluous to almost all games, where normally a player will say their characters are practicing. I wanted to supply a reasonable answer for how they were practicing. It started as a flavour thing, just an idea.

edit: if nothing else I purchased Against the Dark and Apprentices in Pdf to see what Bellum was, and part of the investigation.
