Life in the Laboratory (p54) completely misrepresents Waster of Vis: "If both ... have Waster of Vis ... costs 3 times the normal amount of vis."
Compare to ArM5 p61: "waste one quarter" which explains that for every 3 pawns necessary, 1 extra is wasted.
