Starting year 1260
Campaign Description: The Order has seen some changes in the past 40 years. For some Houses, it will seem very much the same but other Houses have been shaken. This will be a new Covenant location in the Transylvania Tribunal. The Oppidum has been set up as a research post. Some are studying the Dark Fairies of the area and others delving into the mystery of the magical hot springs.
On the heels of the Ruins of Bibracte saga. I will use the same meta-story that Jonathan.Link used but advance it. You do not have to be familiar with the meta-story but some characters will have more knowledge what has happened than others.
The Oppidum allows magi to come and go so a changing cast is not unheard of ( especially for PbP). They are located in the geothermal lake Gyogy-To ( pg 8 AtD). It’s location is on the Map on pg 36 AtD and is marked Héviz on the southern end of Lake Balaton.
Magi or Maga should be about 30 years post gauntlet, with tweaks to the standard post gauntlet rules of 40 xp per year (10 per season). Which means item creation shouldn't impact the advancement quite as much as the standard rules. Virtues such as Book Learner, Apt Student, Elemantalist and Secondary Insight should be discussed amongst the troupe to determine how they wish to treat them during development. More than 4 players will stretch out the seasons of service, of course. Slower players may be relegated to less busy seasons. Troupe discussion will determine how that plays out.
Interested. I was hesitant because the Transsylvania book is one of the few I do not have (yet), but I like both of the House rules you posted on your forum.

One character is a Flambeau Hoplite who specializes in counter magic. Another is a Merinita who is an expert in the Dark Fae. I think we will have a Bjornaer added as well.
The Covenant is meant to do research but there can be other reasons to have a character there.

I'd like to take a shot at this. I'll make an Ex misc from a shapeshifter tradition, a Rego Mentem and Animal specialist who has a penchant for giving magical commands and controlling his own magic. I have a first draft at apprenticeship already but I'm not entirely happy with it so I'll post it after I've modified some things.
Look over the setting and make sure to think how he would fit into Transylvania.

When making characters, you can post up to gauntlet characters here to check on approval. Or you can make a thread in our game forum for the character. Since they can be 30 years post gauntlet, please do them in 10 year increments so I can see the advancement.

post gauntlet is fine. I do not mind Wizard Grimoire spells either.
Have a look at the other characters. There is a PeVi Flambeau that is a hoplite for the Tribunal. I'm guessing you are looking more at a darkness/cold focus.
Her focus is counterspells, which often applies to PeVi effects, but could apply to other effects, depending upon the circumstances. She's not especially proficient with Perdo or Vim, though.
Indeed : cold as base damage dealing capability, darkness with heat vision (InIg) , magic detection.
I'll probably develop unravelings and PeVi might stripper along the way (because there isn't anything else really useful vs incorporeal target), but counter spell isn't my focus at all

you get 2p/year out of gauntlet. I need to find my formula for what can be purchased for LR. You can get a pretty good one by the time you are done.
It is in the House rules but...
Buying a LR. (Normal vis cost you would pay) + (1 per mag up to 10) + 2 per mag from 11 to 15) +(3 per mag from 16-20) + 1 season
Example 35 year old Magus gets a 15th mag LR would be 7 + 10 + 10 or 27 pawns of vis + 1 season
A Magus with Waster of Vis would only add to the normal cost, not to the cost for the magnitudes of the ritual.
Magus with difficult LR pays the same for 1/2 the magnitude of effect.
