So I guess Quercus should be able to detect the auras rather easily. He is "playing sonar" around the island. I will wait to see what info we get. [/i]

I'll need to know what you are looking for, the kind of investigative spells you try to cast, etc. That will help me determine what you find out.
I can't answer a question that hasn't been asked. ![]()
Unless I have something planned, of course. ![]()
"Easily" is a relative term. As the quote mentions, it is subject to the limitations of the mundane sense being used. So if there is a lot of noise from the wind, you might not hear the distant noise of an aura that is farther away. And if you hear it, it will take you some time to locate it more precisely. A small aura might emit a fainter noise. And as I mentioned, he won't hear an aura that is underwater, underground or inside a building. So there are limitations.
But yes, you will get a good sense of what is there. ![]()
The women were not able to learn much about that yet. Nor have you met any of Bernhard's contacts yet, for that matter. They may be able to help you a bit on that front. Who will be meeting those contacts? He mentioned that he would introduce you (or a representative for the magi, at least) to them over the next few days. So is Prochorus doing that, or is he sending one of the mundanes to tackle that?
Prochorus will tell Dietlinde to meet with Bernhard's contacts, but will wait nearby and out of sight in case he is needed.
Ask him who we need to talk to. See if there is anything else - if the noble is a maniac or, I don't know, if he really loves exotic string instruments. Try to be more effective this time. Prochorus scratches his beard vigorously. He probably caught something from his lodgings.
((Still waiting for precisions from Bearlord as to the kind of investigative spells that Japik will try to cast when he goes to help Quercus investigate the aura.))
((I also haven't seen any post from Halancar recently, so I don't know what Pytheas will be doing during that time.))
((I'll be waiting one more day before posting something about the results, unless I get answers before that.))
((Well Japik doesn't have any investigative spells and lack both Intellego and Vim so I guess he will mostly use mundane methods. In the sea he will look for crevices in the cliff, any openings. If there are any but they are too big for his dolphin form to get through he could try to shrink himself with Muto Animal. He gets a casting total of 14 (without any aura) so will only be able to spont at level 5. I don't have any spell guidelines with me so I'm not sure what is needed.))
((Sorry for the delay, the new job has left me with less time to post than I used to have. And the IT environment means I can't just stay logged on and work on a post a little bit at a time as I used to. So I will be starting off new threads for each of the magi on Sunday, from home, to account for their various endeavours.))
