A few days later, she returns, looking puzzled but oddly satisfied. She sends messages to the other magi, asking who might be interested in solving a little mystery that threatens the covenant.

Viola meets with Octavian in a room she's set aside on within the covenant walls for that purpose [I erroneously said earlier the meetings would be in Viola's lab, but that would be within her sanctum] , and greets him politely, if a little distantly.
Once both of them are seated, she speaks...more or less..."Octavius...the...Caverns.....Yes? It's...well...we fear. Yes? I...no...you...well...yes...Carmen, yes. It's...." She throws her hands up, signalling frustration at something, perhaps the situation rather than her near-total inability to communicate. "It's dark...or....dark, it will be. Yes? Good." She looks at Octavius as if expecting an answer.

It was reasonably coherent, but it was spoken, delivered by Edward.
