Gentle Gift and Twilight Scars

Twilight Scars often stand out and would make ordinary folks uneasy around such a person, thereby negating the advantage of Gentle Gift. Yet every magus gets Twilight Scars sooner or latter. Does having Gentle Gift make someone less likely to get Twilight Scars that would “freak out the mundanes”?

Not all Twilight Scars “freak” people out.

However, they might replicate the Flaws Disfigured, Judged Unfairly, or Tainted with Evil. The Gentle Gift does not provide any special benefits against those Flaws.

The Gentle Gift doesn’t do what you’re looking for per se, but see the discussion of Twilight Scars on page 89. When a player’s character prefers to conceal their magic, the Storyguide can, at their discretion, give twilight scars that are subtle and less easily noticed by mundanes. A character with the Gentle Gift would be a good example of such a character.

If someone with the Gentle Gift has a visible scar, people will listen sympathetically if they explain how they got cursed that time (insert compelling backstory here). The same scar in someone with the ordinary Gift will be seen as evidence of evil.
