I think if there's one thing we can take away from this discussion it's that there is value in listening to others generously and with the default assumption that they are saying things from a place of good intent, and if we are confused about why they are saying the things they are saying or asking the questions they are asking, to first inquire of ourselves whether we are the source of the misunderstanding.
