Hello, where are the rules for "Natural Magicians"

I have seen mentions to “natural magicians” in some of the rulebooks, and the mentions seem to imply they function as an equivalent of DnD wizards where they have no innate magic but can learn to manipulate things in order to cast magic, but have yet to see a mention of how you actually play such a thing.

I am curious what book, if any, they’re in. I have 17 rulebooks so far so do not have all of them, so it might be in one I don’t have, or I may have simply missed it.

It occurs to me I should mention the edition. I am actually playing a heavily houseruled version of 5 with some things from 4, but since 5th and 4th seem to be similar I wager you can probably adapt the rules from any edition.

Natural Magicians are from the 4e book “Hedge Magic”

They have no direct equivalent in 5e, but the Learned Magicians from the 5e book “Hedge Magic: Revised Edition” are probably the closest.

There are also practitioners of ‘experimental philosophy’, that are similar in flavor. These include alchemists, that employ Philosophae, and astrologers, that employ Artes Liberales. They are detailed in Art & Academe.

These hedge wizards don’t really cast spells like Hermetic magi or D&D wizards. But still.

Experimental philosphers aren’t magicians of any sort though. They don’t deal with the supernatural, only with medieval ‘science’.
