The real question is, if you take milk from a bovine of virtue, and use it to make cheese, what is the bonus to your workshop total for using such excellent milk? (assuming the bovine does not excrete vis in its milk, which would be a whole new level of quality issues.

My group has always played things like this as an increase in the "Workshop Raw Materials" score (C&G, p.66). If the material is acquired through play, rather than "negotiation", then we did not charge the initial Labor Points for it (though still required the upkeep cost).
