Thanks for your advice! I read the first chapters of Mythic Judaism, the book is really a source of inspiration on this topic.
The reason I was asking is that I'm writing a one-shot adventure on the story around Werner of Oberwesel and the pogrom of 1287. My writing has progressed a little in the last week, so I can give some more information.
In the story, one of the PCs is a maga Trianomae, who is investigating the new Kabbalistic magic, both to find out whether it's a threat to the Order, and to advance Hermetic magic. In my story, there is a kabbalist in Oberwesel, who is of course not willing to just share his research with anyone who asks.
To put some pressure on him, the maga encouraged local Franciscans to preach against the Jews, hoping to either offer the kabbalist help in countering antijudaism in exchange for his secrets, or to be able to spy on him when he uses his magic to defend his community. She is not directly responsible for the progrom, but she should feel some guilt about having contributed to the heated-up climate.
So integrating Jewish magic into Hermetic theory is only the background/motivation, it will not actually happen in the story. It does not even have to be possible, it's only important that the maga is able to view it as a promising goal. Currently, I'm looking to golem creation as the secret she's interested in, but if you have another idea, I'd love to hear it.
Golems are certainly more powerful that what's possible with Hermetic magic, but I don't think I would allow integration (which is not really a problem in this story). More realistic goals would be the durations of Shavua or Halakhic Day, used in some protective rituals.
