Lycanthrope problem

Ravenscroft, fellow Grandmaster and eternal amicus!

Now all the bloodline curse banter has been resolved  , I just wanted to add that this is a really neat idea on how to explain it which also downplays the feeling of it being 'rigged'. Moreso it adds another touch of mythic spicing.

and 'OWoD': well I did storyteller for many years, but got of the train before the newest generation of WW cash-cows. I loved playing WoD and spent heaps of money on it (including the extra bookcase to hold it all), but a lot of it started IMO to loose standard. The newest generation of WoD seems to me, without knowing it to well, as if they've shined up the layout and streamlined the rules but lost many of the things that made it unique, especially with Mage.

THe Lycanthrope flaw states that the character cannot infect others, so that will not be a problem. Deathprofecy is indeed a good call, hadn't thought of that.

@ Furion, is share your sentiments with regard to OWoD

My poor hedgie ExMisc , being a Creo Herbam specialist (with affinities in both) fears not your Ball(s) of Abysmal Flame. :stuck_out_tongue:
Despite his Cthonic Magic Virtue (adding to talk of Infernality) , it stacks well with his minor magical focus in Wood.
Thus i would be able to Triple my score in Herbam (always just lower than Creo) when casting. :smiling_imp:

I also invested heavily in WW product , starting with the 1st edition of Vampire the Masquerade in 1990 (or thereabouts).
Werewolf the Apocalypse was my favourite setting though.

Can't say that i am overwhelmed with Mage : The Awakening.
The lack of official online support from the developer and any official errata is one complaint.
Though unlike many i have no problem with the Atlantis background.
The new Mage does not rely on Paradigm , though it still has a Paradox mechanic.

BAAAH! Hedgies will be pitiful hedgies and only their proliferation is a treat to decent Roman Magi, as they water down the essense of the truly magnificient, and not their small time cheap tricks!

It's a pity IMO, but I'll always have Mage: Ascension and I am sure that when I get old and whizzened, perhaps close to my final twilight, I'll meet up with some equally whizzened fellow roleplayers and perhaps needing a distraction from our still running Ars saga we'll give in to our philosophical urges and dust of Mage as it was. It is one of the few games I'm sure of will only gain more depth as you grow and mature. And I think it might grant completely different stories and experiences than it would today or it did 5 years ago.

Ball of Abysmal Music (HoH:MC p.101).

That is at least the work of a somewhat decent House. Even if being flawed and perverted the Merinita can at least claim Roman ancestors.

But please, it is fools thought -hence calling it glamour- to think that anyone can top the Penetration of any decent Flambeau, and thus the spell that claims to mock Flambeau mocks the caster himself as he thinks to bask in music where only fire, bristone and incinerated flesh will follow. It shall mock mothers from their sons, mock covenants down; And some are yet ungotten and unborn; That shall have cause to curse the Merinitae's scorn! :smiling_imp:

@ Dragonfly : How did the Game go?

LOL, it will take some time before I get to play my adventure. But I like to prepare in advance, probably it will be another month before we can play it, since we play biweekly and first we have to play another adventure.
But don't worry, I'll keep you posted!

Yay! I love to hear stories about individual Sagas.

I second that!
