"I had thought the Abbot was someone I could trust, I was mistaken. For moments I feel I cannot trust Roberto, and many of the mag all the time. What I have learned is that I cannot trust my own feelings in this regard." Adan shrugs and leaves the conversation.
Cidito the talking cat, he tries to get everyone's attention.
Um, guys? I think Roberto is in trouble underwater...
Miquel looks over the border of the ship to see if he can perceive anything.
Roll: 0 + 3 + 3 (roll) = 6.
Adan ponders for a moment. "I suspect we should stop the ship and drop the anchor."
Nothing.
Carlos' eyes grow wide, concern masking his panic.
That idiot! He is a league under the sea with no way to breath!
Lucas rushes over to the side of the boat, not even certain that he's looking in the right direction, while Horus takes to the sky. "I have no spells for breathing underwater," the magus says to no one in particular. "And without some way to survive beneath the sea, I'm as helpless as anyone." He glances over at Cidito. "You say Roberto is in trouble? What kind of trouble? Is he drowning? Is be being attacked? Surely you can tell us more."

Horus is looking for any sign of trouble that's visible from above. Per + Awareness roll (3+4+1d10) = 1d10+7=17
I'm not sure if Horus should be rolling a Simple Die or a Stress Die at this point. So it's either a 17 or a 7 with the following as Botch Dice (Use as many as you need, from right to left. I can't imagine it would require more than 3 Botch Dice in this circumstance.)
Botch Dice: 1d10=2, 1d10=6, 1d10=6
He can't breath!!! Cidito runs back and forth on two legs waving his arms in the air. He cant teleport if someone is looking at him, and even then there is nothing he can think of to do...
BAMF!!
Roberto reappears on deck, near the mast where he had taken an inch of rope from earlier. He is soaked, gagging, and coughs up some water. He collapses on deck, but he is still breathing and alive. Gentle Gift intact.
Yeah, sure
WTF just happened here!?
"He nearly drowned. Doctor Bashir, I think he needs your attention."
Bashir rushes over to Roberto as soon as the magus appears and quickly begins to examine him, looking for any signs of damage or similar danger. He had coughed up water and was breathing, that was a good sign. But that didn't mean that he hadn't suffered any other damage while underwater. Best to be methodical in his assessment.

Bashir will make a Medicine/Chirurgery roll to assess/treat Roberto (if, indeed, any treatment is necessary). Both are 6+2, so it's the same roll.
Int+Medicine/Chirurgery Roll: 3 + 8 + 1d10 = 1d10+11=18
ETA: I forgot Bashir's Fish Out of Water flaw. So the result would be -1, or 17.
Thanks to your quick and very skillful attention, he has suffered only loss of fatigue and suffers no injury. He is totally knocked out though. Carlos takes charge, and has Jimo take him to his quarters and get him into dry clothes. Cidito the cat walks around with his arms in the air like he is in charge "Nothing to see here folks. Show's over".
((I do no recall if I included Allen and Albert in this one. They are not needed, so I will say they are back at the tower guarding the place as usual; I will stick with Roberto & Cidito, Carlos, Johan, and the red-shirt sailors Ximo and Jimo))
Take a point of Confidence as a reward for quick and successful character action
Lucas, meanwhile, moves over and puts a hand on Roberto's shoulder, silently casting a quick spell to do the same as Bashir - assess whether any permanent damage has been done to the magus from his short jaunt under the sea.
This completed, he sends a quick mental message to Horus. Roberto is back on deck. He seems not too much worse for his quick trip below.

Try to spontaneously cast Revealed Flaws of the Mortal Flesh. Casting roll = [5 (In) + 11 (Co) + 2 (Sta) + 1d10]/2 = (18 + 1d10)/2 = 1d10+18=25/2 = 12.5 (Does this round up or down?) Either a 12 or a 13, enough to cast the spell.
Lucas takes a point of Fatigue.
"Bashir pushes at Roberto's belly, causing more water to come out of the magus's mouth, then has him lay flat along the deck so that he can cough up whatever water remains. This completed, he nods to Carlos, who seems eager to act. "He's in better shape than I feared. Get him warm and dry. I'll come to him in a short while with some medicine. I just have to mix it up down below."
When Bashir comes to see Roberto later, he is laying in bed sleeping with a blanket over him. Cidito the cat is laying on top of him generating heat, and he doesn't seem too keen on moving. Though he is often cartoony and charming, this cat can be a frightening beast. Large, overweight, and a face like Jonah Hex.
As Bashir enters the small cabin, he looks at the cat and the magus and nods approvingly at the situation. He steps over and takes Roberto's pulse, deeming it acceptable. Then he removes a small blue bottle from a small leather pouch at his waist. "Ah, Cidito, is it?" He's somewhat unsused to talking to cats - or at least expecting them to respond. "Can you make sure that Roberto gets a dose of this when he wakes up?" He places the bottle in a secure spot where it won't tip over. "Two fingers should be about right. And then see that he gets another dose before bed and then two tomorrow."
...rrmwmrrrrw...
What's in it?
"It has some great mullien, chamomile, henbane, white willow, and mint, all mixed in with red wine," Bashir replies. "It's meant to balance his humours. In particular, Roberto's phlegm and yellow bile have come out of balance. This tonic will cause the phlegm in his body to subside, and encourage him to produce more yellow bile. In short, it will treat what currently ails him."
rrrr, alright then.
...
The city wasn't there. Just the ruins of the mundane layer. Either the regio was closed or he couldn't access it. He wound up underwater and unable to breath, struggling to cast a spell to get him back.
"I see," Bashir says, not fully understanding, but getting the gist of what the cat is saying - that Roberto was unable to get to the domain of his true love. "It was fortunate that Roberto was able to cast the spell when he did. Given his condition, I doubt he would have survived much longer beneath the sea." Bashir pauses for a moment, considering what, if anything, to say next. Certainly not about how foolish it was to hare off to the bottom of the sea without any preparation.
"I confess that I'm surprised," the doctor says at last, "that given who he has as a lady love, Roberto does not know any enchantments to protect him from drowning."
