Hi, after checking the example in MoH p51, I wanted to try this in a talisman, taking advantage of the fact of expiries and focus, chthonic etc.
Three effects are of interest for my question:
- PeCo b10, touch. +41 level Pen, restricted to magus whose talisman it is, #12 uses per day. It's a strict effect 15 (for the purpose of MuVi as explained in MoH) and a total level 63. To invest it in one season, the magus restricted it to 70 years. It does a level fatigue loss while hitting in combat as per MoH example.
- PeCo b20, touch, +65 levels Pen, restricted to magus whose talisman it is, same #12 uses per day. Strict effect 25, total level 97. It makes the target blind (detroying a major sense). It took the magus a expiry 7 years to make this effect in one season.
- MuVi, b20,touch. linked trigger 3, and 24uses per day. Goal is that those two effects are significantly changed if the magus say some phrase before hitting (which would require one round loss as explained in MoH) into a base 15 (which is a 1 magnitude change, thus inside the "significant change" for both previous effects, which are already both PeCo so no TeFo change.
The effect is limited to something precise (since MuVi can't be jokers "do what i want") and thus "cripple the right arm" (considering most people are right handed and will wield their weapon in the right arm (and magi need both arms anyway to use gestures).
My question is: can the MuVi change one and the other effect to that PeCo 15 guideline? effects are b10 and b20,so they are in the "1 magnitude" range. I'm just concerned about the fact that one effect would have a +5 and the other a -5 but since that's not a parameter of the effect, which is only "become a PeCo 15" which is unique, I think it's okay but ... unsure.
(There is a 4th effect unconcerned killing any human or beast at touch, restricted to magus without penetration, but the MuVi is not high enough to concern it, nor is the b30 in the range for a significant change towards b15.)
Obviously when the 7years expiry disappear... it will be time to invest a new 7 years effect and maybe use the fact that the MuVi effects will target the same newly invested effect... but does this work if the newly invested effect is using the same activation words, parameters, and effects?
