A tall man with egg shaped head and broad shoulders. His body is fit though he is not exceptionally strong. He has black hair and keeps a well kept beard but his hair always seems to be in disorder.


Decimus where raised by redcaps of the Andorra covenant, no one ever knew where he came from. He where raised by a childless redcap Acantha, she raised Decimus as her own. Through faithful service to the covenant she where able to provide her found son with a education and a chance to live a better life.

At the age of twelve Decimus gift where apparent and he where soon apprenticed by Maga Honoria Ex Mercere. She took him away from Andorra and trained him in a Cult dominated covenant in the vicinity of Rome. From the start of his apprentice ship she noticed the skill that Decimus handled the magic with and saw him as potential asset to fight for the Cult of Mercury against the Neo-Mercurians.

All and all his studies where not that remarkable and right after his initiation he where initiated into the occult mysteries of Mercurian magic.

After finishing his studies and being a full member of the Cult of Mercury he returned to the covenant where he grew up. Decimus had two task, first he would be the Cults representative in Andorra and in the Iberian tribunal. Though not alone he had a vast task to complete. The second of his task where to make Andorra a fortress for the Cult of Mercury. That would harbour the ancient tradition and carry it on.

His years after apprenticeship where filled with studies and his inability to cast spontaneous spells other than as ceremonial magic made him try to first hone his skills with the formulaic magic and then to utilise his skill in ceremonial magic. He spent years fighting against members of the Neo-mercurian cult and to strengthen the Cults hold on the Iberian tribunal. One of the task was to know the quesiatoris of the tribunal. Even though scrying is forbidden there are other ways to know other humans. Gather information about their persons and any dirty secrets in their past, their virtues and their vices and if possible secure arcane connection if the need arises. Most of the time his mission has been to gather information and little direct confrontation with the enemies of the Cult, but Decimus feels the need to be prepared. He had used his skill to get a few enemies into trouble, never noticing his hand in the process. Up to date his covert work has not forced him to kill anyone but still there are things that weight his conscience.


Decimus laboratory lies in a glade a little bit of from the covenant. It is a well constructed two stories tall building and surrounded by most beautiful terrain. The building is infested with wines and is seemingly very old. The wines are of magical origin and changes colour appropriate to the season.

Background: Ameline was born to two custos at a covenant in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The covenant was the home to a hermetic/holy order linked with House Ex Miscellania and the Priory of St. Nerious. She was raised from youth on the outskirts of the church and it drew her. By the time she was five, she spending most of her time assisting in prayers and helping the nuns of the convent order that was a quarter of the population.

As time went, she felt her love for god grow and the touch of his presence comforting her in her prayers. This burgeoned into faith that became a core of her nature. Then during the summoner just after her 10th birthday, one of the senior mages was checking the young of the convent to find a new apprentice before heading further afield. It turned out that she had a gift for the magic as well as prayer and so she was apprenticed to the order.

As she went through her training, her faith continued to grow as she thanked God for blessing her with the gift with every spell she casts. It worked well that she had a gift to do magic without verbal gestures that recitation of the rosary accompanied most of her spells. The angel that would periodically come to chastise for some error or tell her some task made things hard as were the strange visions that assailed her.

She continued her studies and her love of people translated to affinity for corpus. She passed her gauntlet and began her life as a mage. Her year consisted of 3 seasons a year in library or lab and the winter roamng from village and house to house to tend the sick and ill to insure that people could survive the cold that killed so many.

This pattern was followed for many years until nearly a decade had passed. It was then that she came on a child too sick for medicine and so she prayed. She fasted and prayed for several days and it was a blow as not only was her prayer not answered but rather she got pulled from the world that she could see and brought to be shown heaven and the virtues. She experienced hope without end despite harm but when she came to herself, the boy was dead and God withdrew some of his favor and closeness from her. She began to believe it was her fault. She could not blame god for what had to be her failing. She sought further confession and retreat for the rest of the winter, training in holy magic and slowly seeking to work even closer in ties to God. From then on, her magic was transformed and she pledged her self to God first and the order second.

She knows there will be trouble with the order most likely. She has studied the life of Nerius and knows that there is a good chance that his fate will be hers but if it happens, she will face it with courage and knows that God is with her no matter what happens. She knows the trap that was used to catch Nerius and so personally tries to avoid tribunal meetings.

Jehanette's father was a reeve, her mother was craftswoman as far as the world knew. The truth of the matter is that the two were diabolists, invoking the power of the infernal to boost their wealth and curse those that offended them. They were subtle about it and the treatment of their children was horrifying. Learning to lie was taught in the cradle. Jehanette was fortunately, she accidentally overheard her parents planning to sacrifice her virginity and then life to a demon for power and she ran as far and as fast as she could. She stole some clothing from her brother and went into hiding as a boy. She managed to hook up with some mercenaries running errands. She slowly learned weapons and to become an accepted fighting man in the ranks even as she hide her sex.

Eventually though her greed got the better of her and she tried to steal some money that wasn't hers here and there. She was almost caught but escaped. She was seen though so a price was put on her head and that made her an outlaw. She has traveled further, stealing when she can looking for a chance for a comfortable life with plenty. People have tried to arrest her but when she finds out, she waits until they bed down for the night and then slit their throats. This has given her a reputation for being a killer.

Despite this, she does have a soft side for animals and a gift she has discovered for communicating with them. This has helped her hide at times and get warning of pursuers. She travels with a hawk that she has trained to help feed her and keep her company.
