Memories created by this spell will fade at a normal rate. Use of this spell with a Creo Mentem spell similar to “By His Works” or “The good Witness” (both from HoH True lineages p. 73) will allow the caster to make further observations regarding what he experienced during the duration of “A Day Saved for the Future” as if the caster were back in the time and place where the memories were created.

Conjuring the Arcane Watchtower
Creo Terram 25, R: Touch, D: Mom, T: Individual, Ritual

This spell creates a watchtower, subject to the desire and designs of the caster. The standard tower has five above ground floor levels, a battlement on top, adjoining stairs, internal stone features, a single reinforced door, windows in the mid and upper floors, a small cell in the foundations below, and walls 3-4 feet thick at the base. It is also surrounded by a 2 pace tall wall set 5 paces from the outer edge of the watchtower. The tower has room to accommodate three wizards labs, and their supporting staff dwellings, supplies and meeting places.

The spell provides 1000 cubic paces of stone. The complexity modifier allows for the structure to be a single piece of stone with shutters, doors and such built in. When small parts are needed they are created within the single piece using thin stone slivers. The overall design of the tower cannot be ornate, as the spell complexity has allowed for some internal complexity rather than artistic merit.

Drawing the Truth from the Dead (InMe 35)

I've been looking at familiars lately, and it looks like Eagnaidh is off on his Quality/Inferiority Balance. He's a base Might 15 with 4 points of Inferiorities. That should give him 19 points of Qualities. But I calculate 29 points of Qualities. That means that he has an extra 10 points of Qualities. Am I off somehow?

I think you might be off, perhaps the write-up in the area is unclear, or I've got it dramatically wrong. Here is a more detailed breakdown of how the familiar has been put together.

I believe the breakdown of Quals, Infers, Virtues and Flaws is below.

The V&F balance. The Qualities and Inferiorities balance too (Might 19 = Base 15 + Size -4 = Total creature might 19. Then reduced might allows for 4 more points to spend, so 23 qualities and -4 Inferiorities). I then purchased powers for the Personal, Lesser, and Greater powers, but that shouldn't influence the total spend on Quals and Infers as long as each total is within the purchased points.

Ah, but Greater Power is a Major Virtue. So it costs 3, not 1. Having two Greater power Virtues costs you 6 and brings your Virtue total up to 11.

So it's there because Metacreator added it with a cost when it shouldn't have. That means that the V&F now don't balance either, I'm two Flaw points too high now.

Reworked familiar Q&I, V&F, and Powers breakdown.
I had to correct the imbalance in V&Fs, move some of the Qualities to Virtues instead (this keeps the powers the same which keeps the spirit of the familiar), raise the Magic Might (which fortunately didn't affect my binding), delete a lesser power to also drop down the number of points spent on Lesser powers, and added a small lesser power with the points left over.

Overall it feels almost identical to the way it was, and this time it balances. If this is correct I'll update the post further up in this thread with the corrected version.

I'm still confused. You have 150 points of Greater Powers, which should cost 9 Quality points, but you only have 3 Quality Points spent on Greater Powers. It still seems like you're 6 points over on Qualities.

I'll delete the Greater powers Guide and Invisibility, and then alter Incorporeal Form to cost a might point and slight slower. That brings the Greater Powers back to 50 levels only which costs the +3 Quality only.

Yikes, I only just noticed in looking over your character that you took Faerie Lore via transformation. I'm not sure that's legit. Faerie Lore is very specific to House Merinita and I would think cannot be gained outside of their mysteries.

But I'll leave this up to silveroak, since it's Meiai's toes that would be stepped on. Should a non-Merinita be able to take the Faerie Magic Virtue?

It should be possible, but through transformation. Should I decide to teach a non-Merinita, for example, it would not get me immediately drummed out of the house, but it is not something that would be done lightly. He would need an appropriate mystagogue to initiate/teach the ability.
