Well, that's going on my list of things I'm bringing with me to Denmark! I've tivo'ed every episode.
The BSG "warp" isn't really a teleport in the truest sense. It's a really fast motion. It seems like the Star Trek type teleport is more in line with the way Fruny was describing species. Moving really fast shouldn't get you through a magic barrier but being disassembled and reassembled elsewhere would. (I think) Leap of homecoming should work through a magical barrier. Just don't botch.
There is a third type of teleport and that would be the Star Wars type = bending space. However, since my heathen Newtonian ways were chucked right out, Bending space is just plain silly.
