Saga and Covenant Development discussion

Hi Domazhir, welcome.
Play what you'll be passionate about.

Indeed, play something you are passionate about. One reason why I advised against a generalist, is that it's difficult to be inspired by a generalist.

Welcome aboard Domazhir!

Having played generalists before I agree with having a focused character.

If you go with the Bjornaer route remember that we are fleeing the Order so getting additional House mysteries may be a problem.

Domazhir,

Looking forward to having you join us.

Hi Domazhir,
all three of your ideas add something the covenant doesn't currently have so will fit fine.

Welcome aboard, Domazhir.

All of our ideas sound great.

Thanks all for the welcome, and the comments.

I've been working on the Bjornaer combat monster, and will have a look into the other two after I return to London on Thursday evening, which will probably mean Saturday, as we'll be shattered after two long days driving.

The first cast of the Bjornaer had the flaw Pagan, but given where we will be, possibly not an actual flaw. I've been considering giving him a dependent wife and children, based on an idea in the 4th ed book, The Dragon and the Bear, p108. The covenant of 1k Caves has a goodly number of mundanes with Heartbeasts of their own. How would the troupe (and J.L) feel about having a very few folk like that about? Perhaps one of the children might later develop The Gift, and become an apprentice for the Bjornaer.

From a Bjornaer point of view, anyone who expresses a Heartbeast is a member of House Bjornaer, and therefore a member of the order. Could cause some confusion, Bruces.

With Arthur leaving, am I correct in that Kara is the only apprentice?

Both Galan and Calpurnia have apprentices. Bartholomeus did not have an apprentice

With JL's permission, I can run something for the apprentices. JL ( or anyone else) can play Kara if they want. She is a mostly blank slate at this point. Any interest?

We have Maria ( 15), Nicholas(10) and Kara (16) for the apprentices. Anyone else should make a grog in the same age range.
