Thermokopolis summer 1191

Spyros has an arming sword in his hand as the horse speaks. His cloak had hidden it before, bit the stark metal is there for the man to see now.

"Where he asked me to take him." The man looks scared, but not witless as he replies. "You two really are bad luck!"

“Take us there. Now!” Trintion says.

"Look, the boy suggested we give you the slip because you were drawing too much attention. I don't know what your relationship is with him, but he could be really upset if you blow this for him, are you sure that's what you want?"

Trintion, angry at Constantine for ditching him with this bastard says, “sure.”

He starts heading back the way he came, and back towards the docks where you lost him originally.

Trintion makes sure to keep a close eye on him in case he tries to lose us again.

Spyridon sheathes the sword and keeps going, but makes sure to have a knife hidden in his palm in case there is trouble. He doesn't like that the servant (or was that an apprentice?) tried to give the slip to his master, even if the master was odd and using a horse form right now. He agreed with the young man that this was not the most discrete of disguises to use in a city, but who was him to question the decision of a powerful Magoi? In any case he kept up and observant for trouble since he did not trust at all the man guiding them.

Before long you get down towards the docks, and the man calls out as he gets close. 4 men approach from the ship they are unloading, with menace in their stride, picking up improvised weapons as they approach.

Trintion rears up on his hind legs winnying loudly, telling his yoked sisters in horse sounds, "Rebel, Rebel against the whip and the yoke! Now is your moment!"

Spyridon takes the man by the neck and places the knife in his carotid. I wouldn't do anything hasty, dudes. He secured the arms of the MN and tries to make him walk backwards towards the alley entrance.

The man seems to have anticipated that you might attack at this point and attempts to slip away before you can get him in your grasp

meanwhile the horses begin to buck and take off beyond the immediate ability of the driver to control them. they cannot break away from the cart, but they do pull the cart away from the area, causing the other 3 men to look away for a second at the spectacle.

Spyros tries to grapple the man by the neck of his tunic, but he avoids his grasping hand with a nice dodge and gets way from the warrior. Well damn. There goes our guide. Time to make things clear to the se guys to avoid violence, at least. He takes his sword and makes a cutting gesture. He keeps the knife in the other hand. We'd better avoid an armed exchange men, or we will all get hurt.

The other men, armed only with boards, bricks and for one man a fishing rod, take one look as you draw the sword and reverse direction, deciding this is one fight they want no part of. Your man however has already taken the opportunity of the distraction to dash away, though he is still within sight.

Trintion pauses to offer Spyros to ride then chases after the scoundrel.

If Spyros accepts he will need to make a roll since he is trying to mount and ride bareback.

At Spyridon’s refusal, Trintion chases after the man bbut tries not to catch him in the hopes he leads him back to his lair.

Spyridon tries to catch up with the horse and the fleeing man on foot. He sheathes the sword and starts moving fast after them, but not fast enough. The distance seems to be widening instead of shortening. The winding and narrow alleys in the port section do not help his orientation. Holy mother of a damned goat. How slippery can this guy be?

trintion runs the man down with Spyros dragging behind, the man dodges towards alleyways hoping to outmaneuver the four legged beast.

After several quick turns forcing Trintion to slow his pursuit the man loses Trintion, but he realizes he is close to the house where Constantine lives.
