What's in your Sanctum?

I am looking for some examples of what Magi protect their Sanctums with...

Currently just a ward against mundane intrusion, havn't had time to set up proper defenses yet.

Hmm...

Aegis of the Hearth (L25), A Sturdy 10' high Wall with hoardings and a walk, Small Gatehouse (with gaurds), a dragon(!) (still growing), my magus, her apprentice, and thier bodygaurds.

The gaurds are superfluous; The Dragon (the hatchling from 12th Night, now about 35 years old) and the Magus(a Flambeau with the power to turn those who annoy her into newt sized piles of ash, which are then tossed in the nearest lake) within would keep all but the bravest, or most foolish away (also keeps those without appointments away, too).

Thats a good start...unless you have servants...

My sanctum has (IIRC)...
Ward Against Mundanes
Ward Against Demons Level: 30, Penetration: 32
Ward Against Spirits Level: 30 Penetration: 32

I am thinking about enchanting the lab and adding additional protections...

A nice little rego mentem effect ... "There is nothing of interest here; You have business elsewhere to take care of." It can be cast at Moon duration with a very good penetration.

Suffice to say, though, if a magus wants to get in, he's going to get in. And I've never, ever, cooked a Diabolist. However, I have this ever growing collection of Newts...

My sanctum has a door.

My characters sanctum is covered floor to ceiling in wards and runes. So many that it's impossible to determine which ones are real and which are the scribblings of his apprentice (he's got to practice somewhere).

Given that my character is a Rego control freak, it had been presumed by many that my Magus lab would be neat and orderly and clean. While neat and orderly, the runes and wards make it look like the layer of a mad man. Which is the farthest thing from the truth. :smiling_imp:

Protection is something that I haven't invested in yet, but Santiago's sanctum is a huge area that takes up three floors in his tower (he created towers for himself and his sodalis using Conjuring The Mystic Tower).

He has two labs: one is a normal and unremarkable lab, the other is a two floor specialised elementalist laboratory with roof garden. There is a wooden water wheel that winds it's way around the walls, an eternal flame in the fireplace, a strange sand and rockery thing that is strangely like a zen garden (although, of course, it's not a zen garden as he doesn't know what one is), and the roof garden has all manner of weird and wonderful weather equipment.

It also has a large supply of barrels of ale (compulsion: alcohol flaw).
