Wondering about the Magic Realm and raw vis

In RoP:Magic, it is stated that characters in the Magic Realm do not gain experience, but accumulate raw vis. As it is later used to meter the evolution of magic beings (and things), I'm wondering whether it's here intended to be only a simple accounting (as Fable points clearly are in RoP:Faerie) or if characters actually are supposed to be able to get back from the Realm with usable raw vis.

Opinions?

It is useable vis. You can leave the realm with it and use it elsewhere. The Transformations can only be accomplished in the Magic Realm and only using the vis accumulated there, and it takes up separate seasons. Beings with Magic Might have a different system for advancement and transmutation that also uses vis, but this can come from any source.
