Renaud will be in the saga 1222.3 At least that was the plan. He will arrive delivering a message to Korvin. Korvin will ask him to go to Paris to bribe/hire a language scholar and perhaps look for an illuminator.
I tossed out the Confluensis part just as an idea. I would not do it without some other input from the others. So he is not going there now.
Korvin is doing a LR for Renaud in 1223.1
Helmut must travel to Autun to find the tavern that Renaud is playing. He is singing bawdy songs that are the delight of the crowd and they are setting him up with beer and coins. After Helmut delivers his message, Renaud does not seem like he is leaping to his feet to follow. He just smiles, nods, buys Helmut a beer, and starts another song.
Helmut seems to nervously enjoy both the crowd and song and drink, nodding his head with the rhythm. After the song and drink are done he asks again before the next song and drink begin.
"Beg pardon, but my lord Alexei Von Kroitsau has urgently asked for you to come see him, he is very generous and will host you proper. If we were to leave anon we could make to Mons Electi quickly."
How can we leave when they call for another song? Have your beer and relax for a moment. We shall go shortly. I must finish my beer and sing another song...or two. Renaud leans closer and speaks in a quite voice. I think that lass over there likes you. He gestures to a young, harassed looking serving girl carrying a larger bucket of beer to another table.
Renaud will drink his beer pick up his lute and begins a satirical song about a local farmer and the pope. While he is singing someone fills up his beer again.
The young man seems to relax a bit and get over his important mission, as he does it's easy to see he is actually rather comfortable in this setting. He sings a few bars in the song with Renauld. "Actually, I was looking at the other young lady." he says, pointing subtly to the young woman who appeared to perhaps have a bit of coin and connection to her. He waggles his eyebrows for affect before walking over to her and showing off his ability to make several different opening lines in different languages.

Renaud loses track of Helmut until he's back at his table with a bit of a tipsy walk and tired but satisfied look on his face. "My friend." he begins in Italian. "I may have worn out my welcome..." then he shakes his head and begins speaking French. "Pardon. But if I did, it was well worth it. Might I take you back to visit my lord Alexei?"
As the crowd begins to thin, Renaud gets Helmut and begins walking back to Mons Electi. It looks quite late as the moon is high in the sky. They have a long road to sober up but Renaud will sing some old ballads on the way. When they arrive most of the lights are out except the watch.
