1271.3e It's all relative (Fabricus)

OOC: But we could spend it on Cr or Au, considering we were doing those spontaneous spells, right?

And there was some other stuff, you may not have been present as a player for it, but your character was.

Just waiting to see how Ambrose responds to the final lesson that Fabricus tried teaching. If it seems he learned something, then that would be worthy of perhaps more xp. But if he's just going to antagonize Fabricus it would mean (and not being spiteful here) that he didn't learn as much, and it would also determine where I'd put Fabricus' xp. If he felt he finally got through to Ambrose then I'd think putting more xp into Teaching would make sense for him.

"Professor Diabolicus, you misunderstand me. I don't do things to show up people. I do things that must be done the best way I know how to do them." He looks at Fabricus as if he just doesn't understand. "What I feel is irrelevant to the process, it is what needs doing that I focus on. You told me to move the windmill. I moved the windmill. What I felt when I was working the magic doesn't matter, to me. And if it doesn't matter to me, why should it matter to you? You aren't the boss of my feelings."

Fabricus heaves a sigh of disappointment and stands up, dusting off his knee. "It matters to me Ambrose, because it is my responsibility to foster your growth into a magus. Either you are feeling it and are refusing to tell me and admit it to yourself, in which case you are being obstinate. But if you truly don't feel anything noteworthy when performing magic, if you're not feeling the magic itself...then you have a hole in your Gift. And you will not be able to be a great magus. Dwell upon that Ambrose and as you advance into mediocrity dwell upon it some more. You don't know more than your elders here, if you did you wouldn't be here to learn." he taps Ambrose on the top of the head. "That is your block boy. You can't really learn when you think you know everything. And when you are being surpassed try to remember that and understand I will take no enjoyment in seeing that happen, for it will be my failure as well. Go on to your next class children." Fabricus takes out his wand and begins to gather up the equipment that was brought out.

((I can't say Ambrose learned anything more than anyone else, but he certainly validated his own ego. I'd give him the 2 XP and 2 Confidence for being able to stick to his guns as much as he has even in the face of Fabricus and the other teachers))

((He has to earn Self Confident somehow...))

((He's on that path, no doubt.))

((assuming exposure xp would be 2? So 5 xp, Fab will put it in Teaching))

Teaching or Hermetic Instruction? Be aware of the distinction.

Right, Hermetic Instruction.

Fiona will put her 1 xp in Etiquette (being polite at the dinner party).

Margerethe puts one in Scribe and one in Auram.
