30 Pages in November

Hi Cathelineau,

It's good to see that my mastery of the Intellego Mentem arts are improving!
I created a link from the English Infernal page to the French page.

Thanks again for your contributions!

Salvete Sodales,

I appreciate all the enthusiasm from the ArM community in this effort. Page updates started strong but have been sparse this past week. We're beyond the halfway point and Team Forum is currently leading with more updates than Team Berkeley. Who will win? Only you can decide! Let's bring on your writing or copy/paste skills to the forefront as we finish off the later half of November with a plethora of updates.

Today we're going deeper into the lower planes on our Dantesque journey to the Infernal Realm:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Infernal_Realm

This page could use additional content. You probably already have something written in saga notes, Magi journals, ML or forum postings, or other sources that pertain to the Infernal Realm. You may also consider the following questions as prompts for your updates:

How does the Infernal Realm influence or threaten your saga, player characters, Mythic Europe?
Do you have any guidelines from your experience for using demons in a saga?
Have you dealt with themes of morality or moral ambiguity in your sagas? How has it affected Magi?

Here's the full list of pages that have been announced so far in the 30 pages for November page:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Project_Redcap:30_pages_for_November

Thanks again,
-Walter
16 November 2016

After our Dantesque journey to the lower planes is time we reach for higher power -- The Realms of Power: The Divine is the page for today:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Realms_of_Power:_The_Divine

This page could use additional content.

Add a brief review or link to review(s)?
How have you used the Divine in your sagas?
Have you used the Divine realm with hedge magicians or House Ex Miscellanea?

Don't forget that the full list of pages that have been announced so far are listed on the 30 pages for November page:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Project_Redcap:30_pages_for_November

You can help your team in the contest by contributing to the announced pages!

Thanks,
-Walter

Keep the contributions coming and let's finish with some substantial updates in the coming days. It's truly an honor to be the new Head Redcap and I look forward to strenghtening the Ars Magica community through improvements to Project: Redcap. Your contributions are appreciated, not only by me, but by the ArM community, near and far. Wait, with the Internet, everything is "near."

Sodales,

Keep the updates coming! The Project: Redcap page for today (20 November 2016) is the Timeline of 5th Edition cannon:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Timeline_of_Fifth_Edition_canon

I encourage you to add events to the timeline. It's been a while since any new updates were made to this page, and the ArM5 supplements over the past few years contain key events that should be included.

Once again I want to thank the contributors who've supported the 30 Pages for November campaign. More information about the campaign and the announced pages is available at the main Project: Redcap site page (http://www.redcap.org/page/Main_Page#30_Pages_for_November) and on the campaign page (http://www.redcap.org/page/Project_Redcap:30_pages_for_November).

Was waiting for this page, as there's a lot to add.

It's a pleasure to oblige. Thanks go to Ben McFarland, Andrew Gronosky, and Pelle Kofod for unanimously nominating this page for the 30 pages for November campaign (http://www.redcap.org/page/Project_Redcap:30_pages_for_November).

Dear sodales,

Thank you for continuing to make Project: Redcap the one-stop resource for Ars Magica players, young and old. I've received positive responses from the community via emails and personal messages from the Forum. The Project: Redcap page for today (21 November 2016) is the Essential Nature page:

This page could use some additional examples of the Limit of Essential Nature. Consider taking 30 minutes to contribute to the site. The References section would also benefit from citations.

Sodales,

Today we're going to describe the Magus.

http://www.redcap.org/page/Magus

The current content could use expanding. Here's a couple prompts for you to consider for updates:

  • What could be said about this character type to help Ars Magica novices?
  • How does your troupe go about Magus creation? Feel free to provide guidelines from your saga(s).

As always, I appreciate the Project: Redcap contributions during the 30 Pages for November campaign. While we're in the midst of a competition, and only pages announced during the competition count toward each team's score, you're welcome to edit any other Project: Redcap pages.

Thanks,
-Walter

Sodales,

How about we add a new page to the site? Covenfolk is the Project: Redcap page for today (23 November 2016):

http://www.redcap.org/page/Covenfolk

This page describes two aspects of Covenfolk:

  • Covenfolk as a Virtue for player characters
  • Covenfolk as a description of the residents or staff who comprise the Covenant's population

Thanks for the Project: Redcap (http://www.redcap.org/page/Main_Page) contributions during the 30 Pages for November (http://www.redcap.org/page/Project_Redcap:30_pages_for_November) campaign. We're nearing the end, and the winning team will be announced after this month.

You might want to take me off of Team Forum, as I play both sides.

Hi Tellus,

Would you like your contributions to count for Team Berkeley?

Thanks,
Walter

Salve sodales,

Today I'd like to invite you to add to the Encyclopedia page:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Encyclopedia

This page could use more contributions to fill it out with good content for Ars Magica players, troupes and story guides. What would you like to add?

In a couple more days we'll reach the end of the 30 Pages for November campaign. Following the campaign, we'll continue to build upon Project: Redcap's value for the Ars Magica community. Thanks again for your contributions.

28 November 2016

Salve sodales,

Today is the 29th page in the 30 Pages for November campaign. Let's update the Laboratory:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Laboratory

There's already good content on the page, and it could use more. Perhaps there're new references to published Ars Magica books? Or, how about some guidelines based on the laboratories in your sagas? Let's hear what you have to say about the Magus' Laboratory.

Only one day remains before the end of the 30 Pages for November (http://www.redcap.org/page/Project_Redcap:30_pages_for_November) campaign. Your contributions before, during, and after this campaign are always appreciated.

Project: Redcap

Salve sodales,

Let's finish up the 30 Pages for November campaign with a new page to help with Character Creation. It's my pleasure to announce the 30th and final page on Background questions:

http://www.redcap.org/page/Background_questions

There are lots of questions that could be used in character creation to build three-dimensional characters. I've created sections to assist with grouping the Background questions:

  • General Background Questions (for all three character types)
  • Magus or Maga Background Questions
  • Companion Background Questions
  • Grog Background Questions
  • Covenant Background Questions
  • Saga Background Questions for the Troupe
  • Background questions in supplements
  • References

Thanks again for your contributions.

Thanks,
-Walter
