adventures for 1138:
1 ) a local peasant was attacked during the winter by a man in a black cloak near teh covenant- near enough to send a response (hopefully) before the man gets away (from hook:spies, first cycle combat)
2 ) a noble whose family has cooperated with the covenant for generations, nearing his death has been speaking with a priest who is telling him he must shut down access to your vis source: the Howling of the winds, for the safety of his soul (spring, first cycle religious/spiritual)
3 ) a village not far from the covenant is asking for aid in rebuilding following a dragon attack (spring, commerce/goodwill)
4 ) Oliverius' rival has issued him a challenge to a competition involving a small piece of artwork to be judged by secular masters, with a wager of 5 pawns vis of account upon the outcome. Spring, first cycle commerce/goodwill
5 ) Sandor has visions of monks, priest, and nuns being driven from their homes in Rome by a Bishop and armed men. He recognizes the priests, nuns, and monks as being the members of the covenant of Rome, which is also a holy order - fall, first cycle magic
6 ) Hyperborean magic quest- summer first cycle social
7 ) Jinn quest fall, first cycle legal/diplomatic
8 ) War
To confirm, this is a crafting contest rather than a true adventure, with Oliverius and his rival making... magical artwork? Or something that can be construed as art, judged by non-hermetic artistic masters? I want to know what I'm getting into. Oliverius will write an acceptance of the crafting duel and then check to make sure he understands all the terms before actually sending out the response - He's worried his rival may try to trick him into accepting a contest without understanding the rules.
It has been rolled up as an adventure. If it turns out to only have one cycle it will probably remain a simple contest. If there is more than one there will be complications or skullduggery involved. Part of the point in rolling things like this after you commit is that you don't know what a potential adventure holds until after it begins...
mechanically it is treated as an adventure regardless.

I have no complaints with it being an adventure. I was just unsure due to the lack of season, and lack of challenge-type. Oliverius will prepare for it as if just a craft-contest and a brief jaunt to deliver the goods to the judges. He would like to acquire the aid of the artist who made the bronze sculpture for Evandrus's memorial - though I my search couldn't find out who that was.
As a player, I'm unfamiliar with what would be required to make artistic endeavors; Is this challenge just a simple crafting test, or is it supposed to involve Hermetic and Verditius magic as well? I'm guessing the latter, but it wasn't clear.
Ah, sweet, now it has an adventure type and I'm way less confused about how it works. Okay, spend some time making art, adventure, be betrayed, this is looking like a much cleaner situation!
Oliverius is going to be participating in #4; If possible, he'll be taking Jafari with him to aid in the artistic endeavor. He'll be taking Viviane and Ubon again for grogs if they're available. He will invite Pazzino if the man is interested, and Mercurio if the lad is available in spring. he won't be subtle about his plans, if anyone else wants to bother him joining the adventure - he is deeply complaining about his rival's attempts to discredit his skills.
Mercurio will gladly go on #4. Mercurio is also going to attempt to aid #2 and #3, if allowed. He has the major Lecherous flaw, so he'll probably try to seduce any attractive women he runs into.
Neleos will go on any adventures that his master drags him on. He doesn't seem to like adventuring.
He posted he would be traveling for a bit over a week back on July 7, 3 weeks ago. He has also posted elsewhere recently. I should have said something and waited, but I was dealing rushed due to situations IRL, so QPAC gets a one time reprieve and knows exactly what he is going into before he assigns people to quests. Where you listed some grogs take the same benefit and assign teh grogs you want.
Anna, Honor, Fang, and Aegis will set out in spring on those assorted quests.
Assuming Oliverius is okay with her assistance on number 4.
Anna will also rally Honor, Fang and Aegis to assist on this quest
P.S. Thanks silveroak! Actually, the traveling has been done for a while now. However my internet went to crap on thursday and stayed down friday. Its back up today thank god.
Oliverius will accept the assistance of Anna and coterie, since he wants people to see him besting his rival. It also will help when his dastard housemate finally shows his true colors and resorts to cheating.
