I always read them as the Sumerian pantheon, but also realized I was nowhere near the majority in that reading.
Okay letās be clear the Tuatha de, Fir Gaileoin. Fir Bolg and Fir Domnann were the invading bad guys that didnāt last that long anyway. The Formoiri were lurking around pre Sons of Nemed, itās only with Partholon we donāt see them. So the Formori had the longest influence so maybe the old gods are their godsā¦.thatāll be a twist.
It's more that the Firvulang war-leader was Pallol One Eye, who kept one eye covered because he exposes it to unleash a devastating psychic/psionic "Creativity" attack.
Compare with Balor of the Evil Eye, leader of the Fomorians. It was pretty clear which mythical precusor race was intended even though "Firbolg" is often mentioned by readers.
The Tanu hang around breeding with humans o to the Middle Ages, I believe. Also Cloud Remilard and Kahul Earthshaker have a son, Paul Marc-Ange, so there's a hybrid alive in the 22nd century.
That sounds like an awesome setup! Iāve never directly used the Mythos in my games, but I love the idea of blending different factions like mages, demon hunters, and witches. Itās got potential for a lot of great conflict, especially with how the church and the witches would probably clash. Iāve run campaigns with opposing factions, and they always end up creating a lot of drama and tough choices for the players, which makes the story way more engaging. If youāre able to weave in the mythos and keep the motivations of each group clear, itāll be a blast to run.
