Ars Magica Definitive Sneak Peak

We have mocked up our Ars Magica Definitive Product line up! Here's a little sneak peak at what's to come! We have the reference guide on the right, the core book in the middle and the Storyguide screen on the right!

We expect to release an “advance version” right after the crowdfunding campaign to backers only. The text of that will be the complete expanded manuscript, and it will be in rough layout in our new trade dress, but the art won’t be final yet.

And here's a behind-the-scenes image of our production process:

Full art, big maps, and the booklet Mr. Chart was talking about some days ago. Looks neat! Looking forward to more little sneak peaks like this!! (maybe in the near future?)

Is it known if a PDF version will be included with the physical books? I mostly game on the internet and a PDF with searchable text would be very useful.

I would second the request that the pdf come packaged with any physical edition. This is increasingly the standard for rpg books in any case.

Yes there will be PDF versions!

Dang, looks pretty sweet.

Should we be worried that plans may have changed since that forum thread was made more than 10 years ago?

LIkely not. See here: SG Screen & Reference Booklet Contents? - #52 by David_Chart

It was made this year.

I agree with @lvgreen . You have to be American to read «Jun 13» as 13 June this year.

«Jun 13» vs «Jun '13»
An easy to miss difference.

Oops!
I shouldn't read the forums when I can barely keep my eyes open. It seemed so obvious then that it was referring to June 2013. Now I can't see it.

Please excuse me.

That's the point. Typical writers are not that picky with the apostrophe, and in my part of the world, much more likely to write Jun 13 for June 2013 than for 13 June. I have to read it twice, at least, every time, before I realise that it is American.

Canadian here, June 13 is June 13, (current year of 2024).

The issue is people not including the apostrophe or writing them as Ordinal Numbers.

Jun 13 (Could be ether/or and confusing. Not just on where you are from, but if you were in the military)
Jun '13 (June 2013)
Jun 13th (day 13 of June, this year)

The reason I bring up military is that the NATO standard is ddMMMyyyy, sometimes shortened to ddMMMyy.
So 13JUN is the 13th day of June, while JUN13 is June 2013. The NATO format doesn't have spaces and the month is in all caps, but sometimes people get lazy. Yes the US Military uses the NATO format. As retired Army I default to that standard and so would read Jun 13 as June 2013.
