Background:
Asha was born to a teacher and Scribe on the outskirts of Alexandria. She was very taken with the scribal arts. Her father indulged and taught her as a child. Then suddenly, when she grew into a woman, there was a problem. When she was told that she was to be married, and to stop this writing, she fled. The visions came upon her when she left home. She wound up with the caravan, partially due to guidance from a vision.
She would like to find a husband and have a family, but also wants to keep being a scribe. She is Muslim, although not especially devout.
Questions:
Is calligraphy a separate skill? Or a specialty of scribe or illuminator?
