The Pilium with good Finesse, it strikes a sweet spit that falls a tree that contributes to the slide. The guy with the exploder, he sponted a Rego Terram and upheaves the part of the cliff with the wall. Other rolls were adequate.
as for timing...
I figure Ease Factor 12 to be fair. If you can spend Confidence or something, you have it.
Yes, let's burn a Confidence point. That's the first she's used in this story, which brings her down to 2.
So then there you have it. As the dragon passes between the cliffs, the wizards cause as much stuff to fall on it as they can. The timing is just right and catched him on top of the head. Rocks and debris kick up a lot of dust and obscure vision. But you see a rainbow shining offthe clouds and rising up.
When the dust settles, all is clear.
Jaksic picks Vibria up and gives her the kiss of triumph. And love. Her lungs fill with heat...
Vibria returns the kiss, passionately. For an all-too-brief while, there is nothing else but her and Jaksic. No boat, no magi, no dragons, nothing. When they finally break the kiss, she smiles, throws back her head, and gives a deep rumbling roar of triumph.
Whisps of flame shoot from her nostrils
Vibria looks at her nose in surprise for a moment, then grins broadly.
She then positions herself where there's nothing flammable in front of her, caresses her throat as she rumbles deep in her lungs, then throws her head back to try to bring forth her Breath of Flame for the first time since the accident.
Kenza looks at vibria puzzledly
Okaaaay...
Vibria roars and spews forth an impressive gout of fire. Just like old times.
I have always wanted to fiddle with that power: give it Penetration, link it to ignem, variable output, a bonus for spending Fatigue...
But my ideas are unclear and I am fine with whatever or even the status quo.

Vibria grins even bigger and gives Jaksic another deep passionate kiss. "We did it! I'm myself again!"
Then she goes to the railing and searches the ground and sky, looking for the dragon's body. (Per 0 + Awareness 3 + die roll of 8 = 11. Will spend a point of Fortune to bump it up to 12 if needed.
"I can't believe that actually worked," she mutters to herself in Catalan.
I can't either.
Unless you have a better idea, I think we should either get the hell out or here, or get down on the ground.
Look, I have a thought... This kind of drake doesn't travel in groups, does it?
Int 1 + Magic Lore (Dragons) 5 + (die roll of 1, followed by a die roll of 10) 20 = 26. Well, isn't that just peachy.

Vibria is slowly realizing what just happened. It may have been a faerie after all. She presumed Infernal because it reminded her of the Chaotic Evil White Dragon in the old story "Keep on the Borderlands". But that is the trick. It was a story about young heroes trying to find their confidence and courage, always squabling but uniting as a team to overcome the dragon and therein finding their inner strength.
That is what just happened to Vibria. She found her inner strength as a leader, putting ideas (her own and of other) into action. Others may Judge her Unfairly, but it is more of a Story Flaw than a Personality Flaw. It doesn't phase her anymore. She knows who she is and what she is.
She's not going to say anything about her realization that, "um, that dragon wasn't Infernal after all, but now that I get a closer look at it, it's faerie" Reasoning being that, by saying nothing about her mea culpa, if...if...there are any repercussions or consequences as a result, that they will be able to truthfully say that they were acting on her advice and were ignorant of the dragon's true nature, and everything would fall on her head alone.
I'm assuming that that kind of dragon travels alone (or, maybe, in a mated pair). If so, she'll relay that.
I would have rendered it for vis, but we don't know if it's still alive, and we're in a hurry.
We should go, we're on a timetable here.
"I agree," Vibria says.
She spends the next part of the journey at the stern of the ship, looking back with a thoughtful look on her face.
The rest of the trip is uneventful. In short time you arrive at the designated town, where there is a Cathedral School wherein resides a Headmaster named Father Felix Faust. He whom you suspect is the ancient dragon known as Fetiluscaviceps.
One of the Tremere in your command makes sure the ship has a cloud cover as you approach.
How do you proceed?
Vibria's plan (such as it is), is simple: Go to Fetiluscaviceps , tell him that the Pax Draconis has fallen without him, that Abur-circirlie is telling the other dragons that Fetiluscaviceps is dead (or in hiding, powerless to do anything about it...or afraid of Abur-circirlie and his scale-groomers).
Who's in? I'm assuming Jaksic, and Kenza, at least. I don't think we want to go in guns-a-blazin' with this plan, but maybe have the others loitering nonchalantly in neighboring doorway in case anyone's bacon falls into the fire and needs pulling out.
Is there anyone who can cast Aura of Ennobled Presence on Vibria? (She has 0 Muto and 0 Imaginem, and I don't like her chances on sponting it in a null or, worse, Divine aura.)

Vibria approaches the Headmaster's office, hand-in-hand with Jaksic. When they reach the outer door, she takes a deep breath, squeezes her bethrothed's hand, releases it, and knocks on the door firmly before she opens it and sweeps in with supreme confidence.
"Good afternoon," she says to Felix's secretary. "Please tell...Felix that he has visitors. Vibria Nascor Draconem, filia Ermengarde, filia Sigmundo is here to see him, and it is more important than you can possibly comprehend." She makes little shooing motions with her hands while she stands impatiently.
Sadly, I am a hoplite and a fighter. Imaginem magics are not my strong suit*
Should we anger him, I will try to slow him by casting Walls of Protecting stone, or at worse bring the cathedral down on us. Your life, knowledge and relations are more precious than my life for this war. I propose we hide the ship nearby, separate and try to regroup there. Hoping it doesn't come to this.
Good luck, general.[/coor]
- This is a small lie. She has a deficiency in Muto, which is what precludes her from casting such a spell.
When in the cathedral, she'll stay behind Vibria, let her handle the discussion, and Delay the activation of her talisman (as per lords of men), should the dragon attack Vibria.
You get to the school, ask about Father Felix, and the take you right to him in his study. They are very nervous and tight lipped.
The door opens and he stands there waiting.

Come in. I have been expecting you.
