Calandra was a student at the school who went on to further education, and then found herself looking entirely at positions teaching children. She decided that if that was to be her option she would teach at the school she grew up with, discovering as she did so the less spoken of aspects of its academics. Given her specialization with "difficult" children, many of whom at the school are gifted she was quickly brought on permanently, though she seeks her fortune as an author in her spare time.
