Carlo's return (spring 1221)

"I confess, I was looking for a reason to come this way," Benedict replies. "The letters were a convenient excuse."

"You won't have anything for me either," Talus then adds offering Benedict his hand. "I also only recently arrived. Hopefully by the next time you pass through, the covenant will be recognized and we'll all be officially associated with it. Then we might all expect some mail."

Assuming the intro is done, Paphos will arrange for guest quarters, etc. "Will you accept hospitality of Domus Aureus?" Assuming the answer is yes, Paphos will show Benedict to rooms that are a lavish disconnect between amazing beauty of construction and rudimentary furnishings. The architecture and a few pieces of furnishings are exquisite and of the very highest quality, but the mattress is stuffed with straw and covered with a simple though warm woolen blanket. A desk and chair are provided and appear to be brand new, absent any blemishes. The suite has the new room smell to it and you would guess they have never before had an inhabitant.

Paphos will answer any questions Benedict may have and arrange for a servant to tend any needs.

Benedict will gladly accept the covenant's hospitality. His only question is where he's allowed to wander and where he's not. If asked, he'll say that powerful Auras don't bother him at all.

Well, the ruins out back are spectacular, but... unpredictable. I'd avoid them, anything with a sanctum marker and any obvious construction sites. Feel free to visit any of the common areas, but most of the corridors leading past them go only to private rooms, so I'd avoid those too. If you like fancy, be sure to visit Tartessos' Studio before leaving, it's built to impress. Just follow the Great Hall back and through the ginormous doors at the end."
