Inside the coffin is the body of an aging man in fancy robes and what looks like a large bird. The man's features can still be recognised but the bird is disintegrating. The body's hands are folded over a long, carved staff with a blue staff inset at the head.

(Second «staff» is typo for «stone».) Hearing the will, you recognise the carved staff being the talisman which was listed as one of the enchanted items. I do not think you took anything from the grave.
