It takes an hour or two before Hamish and the grog hit on the coffin. It is a wooden coffin, still solid. It is nothing spectacular, and may have been made in haste, but yet it is good work and it has been put its six feet down. It is hard work and takes some time to get the coffin up and open it, but it can be done.
Inside the coffin is the body of an aging man in fancy robes and what looks like a large bird. The man's features can still be recognised but the bird is disintegrating. The body's hands are folded over a long, carved staff with a blue staff inset at the head.
