Cygna looks around some more, presumably with no better results and not being able to see more than a pace in any direction. She then closes her eyes and tries to focus on everything around her. Things like the fog or mist...does it feel cool, clammy, humid, hot, steamy? Does she feel anything under her feet, or is she more or less floating in air? If she is standing on something, is it solid, stone-like, wooden, dirt-like, soft, cushion-y? And when she called out - did her voice echo, or sound like she was shouting inside? Or did it sort of disappear in that eerie way that noise does in a dense fog? Or something else entirely?
She's trying to analyze her surroundings as best she can.
You are staring in the fog for about two minutes, smelling it, feeling it. It feels like fog, but she realizes her clothes do not get clammy or wet.
She touches the soles of her feet (yes the feet she's standing on!). There is nothing there she can feel. She is standing on nothingness.
Her voice is not reflected - the sounds are swallowed in the fog. She wonders how far away they can be heard.
The smell of the fog is very faint but somehow reminds her of labwork.
Cygna ties the end of the line around her waist to free up her hands. She then tries to Spont an Intellego Vim to determine how powerful the Aura is here. If I have it figured right, its Base 2 effect; not sure about Range - either +1 for Touch (because she's in the Aura and thus, in a way, touching it) or +2 for Voice; D: Momentary and Target: Individual (for An Aura) for a Total Level of 3 or 4.
In 6 + Vi 3 + Sta 0 + Aura ? + 1d10=6 = (15 +/- Aura)/2 = 7/8, in there somewhere.

Then she will Spontaneously cast another spell , this one to determine if the fog is Aurum or Vim. This is, I believe an InAu(Vi) (or possibly, InVi)Au)). Base effect is 4 for Aurum, I think ("Have an intuition about some fact regarding the air), or possibly 2 ("Sense one property of air); for the Vim may be 4 (analagous to "Discern the art of Vis") if the fog is a Vim effect. I still don't have a firm handle on how Requisites work in 5th ed., but I don't think it adds to the Magnitude. Range should be same as the Aura Effect spell above (+1 or +2).
Total level would thus be 5 (Touch) or 10 (Voice).
In 6 + Vi/Au 3 + Sta 0 + Aura ? + 1d10=8 = (17 +/- Aura) = 8.5 before Aura. Sooooo....maybe?

She will then slowly head back toward the apparent opening, moving hand-over-hand along the line, until she reaches it, and examine it from this side. Including moving around it, to see it from all sides.
Cygna finds out she is in a divine aura of the same strength as the rest of the village.
Once you get behind the opening levitating in the fog, the opening closes: Fog slices through the bedsheets. The fog then disappears...
...and you are with the others.
Chapter summary:
Agter gtting to the village, the magi explore the hut, discover the mirror and step through (after thoroughly examining it and realizing that this is likely some trap). Some step through voluntarily, other trigger the mirror.
