Hi leo, silveroak had mentioned that one can gain Insight from those children born directly after the Ritual botch of 1112, and that's precisely what she is looking at. She's not particularly cruel or evil, just a bit self-centered, but she does love being a good hostess! I doubt Mercurio is in any danger.
As for the mirror, it's stored somewhere, just not in her lab. Oliverius insisted on it being checked out for its powers, etc, when she proposed to hang it up there, but that hasn't happened, so it's in storage, and we are not getting its vis (as it has to be in a functioning lab, sort of an annoying condition I came up with when she retrieved it in an adventure).

Hmmm, I thought Oliverius checked the mirror but now I can't see a season spent for investigating its magical powers by him.
Well, Aurthor will retrieve the mirror from our stores then. It was examined for holy/unholy effects by Al-Wazif already and Aurthor thinks that proceeding by interrogating the ghost in search of insights on hyperborean magic is enough to determine if the vis got from the mirror is safe and usable.
My memory of it is incomplete. I remember wanting it investigated, and having people sense holiness on it, and that being that - but admittedly I haven't thought about it since then.

Ignes.Festivus, assuming Gloriana doesn't have leadership issues, would she be interested in utilizing Mercurio as a non-gifted lab assistant? He's Faerie Blooded, charming, and wants to do something more meaningful than scribing other peoples' opuses.
The more the merrier, she can have up to 3 assistants (Leadership 2, specialized in Lab activities)! So Mercurio, Mother Rabbit, and Sybilla can all help at the same time. He shouldn't forget to raise his MT. (and remember, he was part of the Int Ritual, right, his Int should be +3, correct?). Although lab activities are often simple drudgery, so I doubt it will be as exciting as he expects (well, perhaps he expects to bed the entire Lab, seeing as he is Lecherous...and Sybilla as well...and Mother Rabbit, who Sybilla is planning to eventually give the ability to take human form, oh gawds!). There might be entire years his aid might not be needed (in which she studies, or in which she doesn't need the Lab aid, or she's out adventuring, of course he could come to adventure!)
