CHATGPT mage (I doubt this is going to work)

I am trying to get chatgpt to create an ArM5 Mage, by asking it questions:

One obvious problem, and I’ve also seen this when a player in my non-Ars campaign tried to use chatgpt, is that chatgpt does not actually understand the rules of, for example, how characteristics are calculated. So Aria’s characteristics add up to 11 points. She doesn’t have Improved Characteristics and, if she did, they’d probably only add up to 10.

Pretty neat, though the lack of rules understanding shines through in places, like treating every Major Virtue or Flaw as a Minor one, and miscalculating allowed Characteristics.

Still, I'm rather impressed that the technical concerns are the thing to point out on a concept, backstory, and sheet that is otherwise quite coherently a specific Ars Magica character. A relatively generic one, but one where the things mentioned in one section are largely represented by the things put down in later sections. Her Muto and Herbam scores are actually her highest ones like her backstory says they should be, her backstory mentions being Merinita and attuned to the Faerie Realm and she has Merinita Magic and Faerie Blood virtues... The fact that consistency was maintained in spite of the poor understanding of the rules really impresses me.


That is absolutely a playable character.

Sure it needs a bit of manual adjustment in the Characteristics and Virtues&flaws department but its quite minor.

I dint' check the sums, but it gave me a concept with Deficient Perdo :frowning:
