Covenant design discussion

I would have brought a vintner/brewmaster if I had know that. I removed it from my build points when i saw that there was one already.

~sob~ First they took away the brewmaster, and now the Vintner....

Is there no locally produced alcohol here of any note?!

I'll go adjust my thread and just talk to the Percamanarius...

We apparently still have 20bps of unspecified specialists. Do you want to allocate some of those points? (I don't want to pick which ones. I just want to give a valuable lab item to a covenfolk for cross-hybridization experiments :B )

Fiona makes a pretty decent home-brew whisky.

I think I would drink Fiona's whisky before anything I could get from the percamanarius.

I think I removed the vintner because somebody else already had one or something, but danged if i can remember who, and I can't find it in the forum "search" anywhere. But, yeah, if we need a brewer, I'd say use the 20 unspent points. Can we do a vintner here? Will the terrain support vineyards and winemaking, or would we be having to import grapes to make the wine with, or would beermaking (or something) be better?

For inks! For inks, I meant! Oooh, god, my eyes!!

This is France we're talking about. You can grow wine everywhere. Just not every type.

I know somewhere we can import vines from, if they're willing.... ~wg~

Actually, the prospect of asking Phoenix for information on winemaking makes me giggle a bit, given that some of those tracts were authored BY the grapevines themselves.

It seems like wine-making got dropped off the Boons and Hooks lists, in which case I want to go completely loco-crazy and suggest that there are some "secret project vineyards" being developed inside the regio somewhere, given JL's description of the weather. And if they aren't, then Viscaria will eventually suggest moving some in there, anyway.

Jonah brought that source, I didn't see anything too wild. I think silk production had started spreading in fits and spurts here and there. And while I agree that France is too cold, please note what I said about the magical side of the regio being warm for mountainous terrain.

If you don't like the vis source you can change what it is, but not the type of vis produced if the troupe agrees.

Like I said, I got no room to talk. I was just surprised by their existence, is all.

Could you send it to me, please? This is quite useful!
