When will AMDE hit local game stores? I want to run my starter adventure for folks, but I’d love for them to be able to get the book afterwards.
Not sure. Retailers who backed the campaign have been receiving their goods, though we are still waiting to hear from most of them about whether they want the basic package or additional things. Probably October for regular distribution. I'm hopeful that we'll be basically done with backer pledge shipping this coming week (minus the various folks we're waiting for info on). At this moment there are fewer than 100 pledges yet to be labeled, retailers included, but they're all big orders with lots of individual items (Library of Durenmar, etc.). As of this afternoon there were 13 pallets of packed and labeled international packages that need to be wrapped and weighed and sent off by truck. The earlier this coming week, the better.

My copies have arrived! I think the physical book is absolutely gorgeous.

Yes, I'm in Scotland and I'm still waiting. Last Ascendia update was 4th September, "Departed Des Plaines Illinois".
Try using parcelsapp.com. I used it with the tracking number and it shows mine at Heathrow at 10:47 this morning.
I find with the UK ones that you need to go first to Asendia, and then find the final-mile tracking number that Asendia provides (Parcelforce or whatever), which usually has more tracking events for what happened beyond Des Plaines.
I regret not having bought one copy to read and another to keep "mint" in all the wrapping.

My set arrived today, a week earlier than the tracking app predicted!
I don’t see myself buying any more RPG books now because I doubt there’s another book that could be half as awe-inspiring as this one.
I think I might keep the packaging too - it looks ideal for if I want to take the book somewhere.
