Above, I have posted my, as yet, un-named Bjornaer. He is intended to be a considerable close combat monster, (which does not mean that I have achieved the desired end, yet) and hope that I have at least made strides in that direction.

I also wish to be able to have him produce scripts for initiating Bjornaer Mysteries, including the Ritual of Twelve Years. I do not wish to have him in Clan Ilfetu, but do wish to have access to scripts for some (not yet determined) scripts for various clan/house mysteries, as well as inducting un-Gifted folk into the mystery of the Heartbeast

Advice on this starting position, and routes that may usefully be followed during as many as 25 (maybe more) years post-gauntlet would be welcome.

I'd like to resolve the immediate-post-gauntlet position before moving on to further development. I'll add to the gauntlet post with a slightly revised bear from the book of mundane beasts in the next few days.

Domazhir asked me a question via PM. However, this is a troupe game in that you guys decide a lot of stuff. I build the world and story.

My opinion is that CrCo/Me spells are perfectly within the realm of self transformation. CrAn, isn’t, because you’re not transforming anything just making animal stuffs. MuCo(An) ritual spells would be the proper place for integrating animal characteristics into yourself.

I would go even so far to say that this is a casting requisite and spells need not be designed or invented from scratch to get the benefit of the focus. A touch range spell cast upon yourself would get the requisite bonus at casting time, just not when the spell is learned.

If I may interject - I think Domazhir is trying to check that he will be able to boost his characteristics in both human and heartbeast forms, and that it will work the way he thinks it does.
If a regular magus has a familiar and wants to boost both his characteristics and the familiar's, he can use CrCo for his own physical characteristics and CrMe for the mental ones. For his familiar, CrMe will affect Intelligence but everything else would be CrAn.
The Bjornaer when he changes into heartbeast is an animal, no longer affect by Corpus magics, so needs Animal magic to affect. I think Domazhir wants to check that he can CrMe and use his focus for boosting Intelligence, then use CrMe and CrCo to boost his human form, and CrAn to boost his animal form.

Domazhir - is this a fair summary?

Duh. Forgot to check and yeah. He’s a Bjornaer. CrAn rituals would apply, as self transformation then.
