Hello all,

Hope you can help.

a) Can I use a hero's special ability anytime, if the card itself doesn't specify the exact time to be played?

b) When a spell allows you to add a certain amount to any form of attack (magic or melee), can I apply it to a counter-attack, granted the spell can be played anytime?

A hero's special ability is like a Boon, and can be used the way a Boon normally is. Often a special ability applies to combat - so can be used during any combat the hero is in (including counter-attack).
