[Dungeoneer] Two Newbie Questions

I just got Vault Of The Fiends last night and my roommate and I had some confusion about this first question:

  1. Does Player A go through all the phases in a turn before Player B gets to go, or does Player A take one phase and then Player B take that phase and on to the next phase, and so on?

  2. Just curious, are there any solitaire rules? The game seems pretty simple to make into a solitaire game.

player A goes through all the phases of his turn, then player B goes.

I have yet to see any truly satisfactory solitaire rules. The optional rules have a solitaire version, but they are a little rough.
