Important excerpts from the Peripheral Code of Stonehenge:

  1. Excerpt from the Peripheral Code Ratified in 957th year of Ares, AD 818 Emergency Tribunal ratified in Stonehenge, Hibernia and Loch Leglean.

Be it known that due to the diverse applicants of other traditions and the necessity to guard our greatest treasures, the Parma shall be taught by a duly appointed representative prior to the applicant taking his Oath. In the time between the learning of the Parma and taking the Oath, an Arcane Connection shall be supplied to the trainer to be held in trust, the connection offered before learning the Parma.

Be it known that in order to foster trust and solidarity with our newest Magi in the order, once the Parma has been learned and the Oath taken and witnessed in a Quorate Tribunal, the Arcane Connection will be destroyed. Later Ratified in the Tribunal of the 965th year of Ares, so that the Oath could be witnessed by a Queasitor in good standing, or the Praeco, and one other witness.

Be it known that in response to the unfortunate incident of the renounced wizard and official Parma trainer, Delicadus of House Diedne, for having been found guilty of not destroying the Arcane Connections in his charge, new provisions will be made. Any wizard may demand that his trainer in the Parma be subjected to a casting of the spell Frosty Breath of the Spoken Lie by a Queasitor in good standing, and then asked 3 questions, all of which must pertain to the Arcane Connection of the wizard and whether or not they were destroyed or otherwise dealt with in any fashion other than their destruction. Should it be found that the connections were not destroyed the teacher is guilty of a Low Crime and will give up his position and be subject to compensation of the aggrieved party as decided by majority vote.

So as to maintain the dignity and station of Wizards that have already received their Gauntlet and have been recognized in a Tribunal outside of the British isles, they will need to provide the normal credentials and patens as the Order requires, and be asked to demonstrate their ability raise to the Parma. They will not be asked to provide an Arcane Connection if this can be proven.

This thread will post excerpts from the Peripheral Code as the laws of Stonehenge are encountered and revealed. If you're interested in finding out some of the history of the laws as well as trends and such let me know, that info can be researched.

Be it known that in observation of our Oath not to bring the wrath of mundanes down upon us, the Tribunal of Stonehenge shall not propigate, encourage, participate, or in anyway act in such a way as to show deference to a Saint nor try to celebrate the one known as Nerius. Secrecy and discretion shall as always rule our actions.

Be it known that while the Order acknowledges that the dragon of Ungulus is indeed a problem, it is the problem of Ungulus. Neither the Order nor the Tribunal will take action against it. Should magi attempt to take action against the dragon they shall do so on their own, incur all risks, and may reap all rewards for their act.
