Faerie regeneration

Situation: Inside a faerie regio there is a tower. The players defeat the fae guardians, but don't actually raid the tower. They also didn't claim all the vis from the fae's bodies, because they couldn't find it. They return a year later to try to infiltrate the tower. Have the faeries regenerated, because their "story" -- their reason for existing -- is to guard this tower?

I'm asking from a RAW point of view, not from a "whatever makes the best story" pov.

For "tha RAW", best read up RoP:F p.47f Regeneration, especially:

If killed by humans, or with humans witnesses, faeries may eventually rebuild a body, although it takes time. The time taken to regenerate equals the faster of the Faerie
Might Score in months or Faerie Might Score / Aura (as modified by the Realm Interaction Table) in months. An incognizant faerie that rebuilds its body believes itself to be linked to, but not actually, the previous faerie.

Using the above answer, your answer is yes, but it's likely the 'new' guards will believe they were sent to replace the now 'dead' ones.
