Background: Percy was born the second son of a miller in Cambridge, and served as a grog at Schola Pythagoranis. Unfortunately, when he was twelve years old, he was badly injured in an accident at the mill and rendered lame. Though he was not fit to continue working as a miller, Galan saw that the covenant didn't abandon him. The magus arranged for Percy to be trained as a scribe and the lad worked in that capacity for about a year. But he truly came into his own when he was briefly assigned to help the covenant's autocrat deal with some administrative matters. The boy proved clever and showed initiative, just the sort of thing that the autocrat needed in an assistant. Soon thereafter, the temporary position became permanent, and Percy became the autocrat's assistant. He was recruited by Galan to become the autocrat of the new covenant that was being founded in the north.

Background
Will was an orphan boy in Cambridge who took to the streets as a beggar and scamp when his mother died. Galan regularly gave the boy a coin and occasionally used him to run errands. One day, when the Will was about twelve, Galan realized he couldn't keep ignoring the boy's situation anymore. So, rather than just give him a few coins, Galan invited Will to come back to the covenant and find a place there. The magus insisted that Will be trained to read and write Latin, and eventually had him made a scribe for the covenant. But always Will remembered who took him off the streets and gave him his chance at a good life. Always he remained loyal to Galan. And when he learned that the magus was planning on leaving the covenant, Will insisted that he be allowed to go with Galan as his personal servant, Galan's current servant being too old to make the trip.

Will is smart and clever and always seems to know what's going on in the covenant. Although he's officially simply Galan's servant, unofficially he's the magus' main source of information about covenant gossip. He's also blessed with uncommon good looks, which makes him very popular with the young ladies of the covenant.

Background: he was brought up by Transylvanian Saxon peasants in an area not far from a Tremere-dominated oppidum. His supernatural sense made him obviously useful so he was recruited by House Tremere and taught enough Latin to understand magi and trained how to hunt and fight. He was taught to focus on survival and scouting to aid the movement of Tremere forces. He was given the name Nimrod, after the biblical hunter, for his supernaturally-aided abilities.

Background
A former grog od Schola Pythagoras, Hugh followed Galan to the far north, figuring it couldn't be worse than staying at a place where magi were slowly going mad with fear of the plague. Hugh's tendency to rush in before thinking has collected him an ugly collection of scars, some of which have left him disfigured. Still, he's still alive and kicking, after seeing many of his more-prudent comrades fall in battle, so he is unrepentant.
