How do I get the right to post in a game?

There have been a number of helpful players, but I think there is some kind of drop-down menu missing (tested on two different computers, using three different browsers).

Is this some kind of right that I haven't earned yet, or do I simply not see the obvious?

You need to join the Play by Post Players group that has those permissions. Directions are in the PbP Startup Instructions for GMs, which you should read.
